I've tried it in a board game cafe with friends. We gave up super fast and moved on to Codenames.

This is why it's not wingspan that matters. It's sneaky athleticism.

I'll take defensive intelligence and quick feet over wingspan any day. Wingspan can help when those two are lacking, like Zhou Qi blocking shots from behind after his man blew past him.

Shuffle Feet or Lateral Quickness on Defense moving left or right is the most important skill in the NBA.

Hakeem Olajuwon by far is the Greatest, can literally switch to quicker Point Guards and block their 3 point shot or block their layup. Hakeem long Wingspan, Speed, Athleticism, High IQ.

That's the entire Great Defender recipe right there. Every ingredient you could want.

One of the reasons I asked is because Alp has a 7'0 wing span as a Center, Jabari is 6'11 with a 7' wingspan. Jalen green is 6'5/6'6 with a 6'7 wing span and Cam whitmore has so many listed wingspans (I've seen 6'8 to 7') Fred and Brooks also don't really have exceptional wingspan. So if it is important why on earth is Stone constantly overlooking this? I would really like to know his reasoning for taking players with mediocre length.
Only Amen and Eason seem to have amazing prototypical wingspans.

It’s more important to me than height or strength, put it that way.

Which player with a higher wingspan would be as good as Sengun? This isn't as complicated as you're making it out. Yes, wingspan is important. No, it is not the only important thing and nothing else matters. Crazy, I know.

Hakeem Olajuwon played Soccer and Volleyball in Lagos, Nigeria.

Speed, Footwork, Lateral Quickness in Soccer.

Vertical, Quick Reaction Jump for Shot Blocking and Rebounding learned from Volleyball.

Along with lateral movement it's absolutely essential for a switching defense. The Celtics players all have huge wingspans. White and Holiday were both at 6'7 even if they were shorter. This let them keep up when switched onto much taller players. I'd say that it's even more important than straight up height for defense. Bam Adebayo is just 6'9 but an elite defender.

it's important for everything. One reason JDub is so good he has 7'2 wingspan for a 6'5 guard.
