But it’s not a debate that Russia has historically invaded its neighbors, causing the need for a defensive alliance against them.

It's just one guy with one opinion on a bball forum. Not sure why people are getting their panties ruffled over it.

    Guilty conscience over their convictions?

I rather post more vids people might or might not watch.

Or it’s just annoying someone is so confidently incorrect and trying to claim a moral high ground in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

It’s a good video… I’ve been following that YT channel moreso

It must be hilarious to Putin to watch the west spend so much money to prolong this war when he knows that January 2025 the jig is up and he'll get to control Ukraine in short order.

Those individual 10 year pacts will be interesting if Darth Trump returns. A lot of this years funding that passed recently also extends deep into next year.

Maybe Europe will kiss enough ass for them to wear orange lipstick, or they'll dangle Jina as the sweetener for an alliance he might not want but also knows he needs.

NYT published documents from the 2022 peace summit from istanbul after the russians failed to capture kyiv. Ukraine was willing to give up on NATO nd scale down their military but it wasn't enough for Russia. @SamFisher . In the end Russia wanted Ukraine to agree to giving Russia veto power on receiving any military aid from other nations.

The braindead arguments from folks @Space Ghost @glynch claiming Ukraine didn't want peace and/or wasn't willing to give up on its NATO demand has been debunked.

Let's put this in very naive bayesian way - let's say it's 50% that Trump wins, this seems high to me but whatever.

OK, but then you have to have all NATO countries completely cut off support for Ukraine (and prepare to fight Russia on their own borders - let's generously say that's a 50% chance, but it seems very unlikely). Unlike in the US, most of the NATO countries (save the Russian client traitor types like Orban) are pretty distrustful and don't like Putin at all, and they see the Ukraine war - rightly, as an investment in their own security.

Then you need the Ukranian populace to completely capitulate and not stage any low intensity campaign or restance action immediately - this seems like 1-5% chance, but let's be generous and say 25% chance.

Your outcome of "control Ukraine in short order" is clocking in at about 6.25% chance, you could argue it up higher but seems way lower IMO.

Those numbers don't look very good to me. But it's in Putin's interest to pretend at home and abroad like they do.

    I hope you're right. I'm pretty pessimistic.

David is a dipshit loser who's going vote for trump while bashing bidens stance on Ukraine. Save us the bullshit grifting.

You don't get to vote for trump and then bash biden on Ukraine when trump is running on cutting all to Ukraine on day 1

you misunderstand me. I’m disheartened because I think Trump will win and that will be a death blow to Ukraine. I’m not rooting for it

None of that changes the fact that Russia invaded Ukraine. The Fog of war can obfuscate but not that Russia was the one who took Crimea in 2014 and launched a military invasion to try to take all of Ukraine in 2022.

Not really sure what the relevance of the rest of your post is to the post you’re responding to.

It’s not only one guy with the opinion that Russia isn’t the aggressor. This view has been expressed by many others.

More insults and more exaggeration. 1) Encouraging Ukraine to keep fighting a war most objective analysts believe they cant win and telling them to reject a peace proposal in 2022 to allow more autonomy from Russian speaking territories bordering Russia along with an agreement to not to join NATO is just the same as: the US should force ukraine to capitulate all of its land to russia Also Lefties are no different from MAGA
