Nets in : Dillon Brooks / Tate / Jock Landale / future Bky 1 st / future Bky 1st Rd pick swap returned / pick #44

You may be right, but it would be insane to give the Net’s the 25 pick in the trade. #3 this year and top 2 protected 26 maybe. I acutually think Bridges would be an excellent addition to the team mostly as Jalen insurance and an upgrade over Brooks, although he would significantly eat into Amen’s minutes which I hate.

Well it's debatable which of or all of the Nets picks to give back.

Chances are they lose Claxton in free agency,, so Jock Landale would be a bandage with
some potential.I'm one of the few that thinks Landale is able become a greater Plumlee l
evel. Pick #44 might bag them that future starting Center.

I might be willing to flip them one more of their picks back to them. Udoka doesn't
want more young players. After saying that; I can see him going for Dalton Knecht
(older rookie), Devin Carter (older rookie), Zach Edey, or Kel'el Ware.

Team having 5-players able to hit 3's can provide greater efficiency than the team that
only offers four. Case in point Dereck Lively. Porzingis draws more attention on the
perimeter; which in turn allows the good facilitators to carve up a defense.

I know the Nets would want #3 pick, but Tate, Dillon Brooks are serviceable. If they want
Steven Adams or Jeff Green it can be arranged. Fanspro trade machine worked with
Bridges x Landale, Dillon Brooks and Tate. Jeff Green and Tate can be waived.

Tate/Jeff Green are team options. So Nets could cut pay or use them.

More picks going to Nets can be arranged....for taking on Dillon Brooks.

As for Amen, you don't sacrifice the efficiency of the whole team for one player.
He can get some experience until he shoots better during live action. With Bridges
Udoka gets us to 6th seed......but focus on Amen getting minutes may have
    us barely making Play-In. Imho

That’s reasonable, although I think Amen is all defensive first team if starting. I’m just hoping he can hit 30+ from the corner and then the non shooting stuff becomes moot. The missing link for having a decent offense is still Jalen. If he can shoot league average from 3 and get better at mid shots we can make the 6th seed. If not, we need his replacement (Bridges, Reeves, Herro for example).

Well it's a case of what came first the chicken or the egg.

Coach Collins had 3-pt spacing for Jordan somewhat, also the rules kept defenders close to
their assignments. MJ would get a few dunks, layups, FT's and then his midrange would take off.

Phil Jackson opened up things with a triangle offense between MJ, Pippin and 3rd person as roll Man/screener (Rodman for example). Kerr and Kukoc as 3-point threats to open up the 3-man action of the triangle O.

Once you have 3-consistent 3-point shooters with Jalen.....he will then completely take off.

    --------
Jalen got some open lanes with Jabari moved to the 5 and Amen doing a standout job playing the Dunker Spot. Then the confidence was there.
Jalen took some shots, turned to run as shot was halfway to the rim.
    ---------------

I was not a fan of drafting Amen since his shooting was bad and Udoka was in win now mode. But Amen did much better than I expected.
Ace at Dunker Spot., as Roll Man, defending 1 thru 5.

**Sidenote you and I discussed in past how Jalen Green and KPj were tanking their 3+PT shooting because Sengun was tanking his 3-point shooting in order to be the guy or number 1 option.

I still think there is some validity to that. At the risk of bobbythegreat and DD blasting them on FG%, they didn't want to give in to Sengun dogging his 3-pt %. Jalen Green at rising stars was interviewed, and said 'Always". The interviewer asked what he meant. He responded Sengun says that in practice, "Always". Sengun always makes 3's..
    Jalen Green, "Sometimes"

I would have done the same as KPj or Jalen Green. I think it's chicken $hi# for a player making them in practice but dogging it during the games in order to be the #1 option.

Udoka ain't buying it anymore either.
