I just haven't read any compelling arguments to draft Reed Sheppard -- he's like a short Steve Kerr.

Amen will get better with his handles that he will look more as a point guard than last year. His shooting is year by year improvement

I think the Rockets are hoping Risacher falls to the Rockets.
The more Ball Handlers the better. Hopefully Risacher plays similar to Toni Kukoc, 6'8 Fast Break Style,Ball Handler, Shooter.

Why would the Rockets want Risacher as their 4th string SF?

Rondo was in a completely different era of basketball…back then not being able to shoot wasn’t nearly as big of a deal and spacing wasn’t an emphasis

Rockets were trotting out lineups with both Dwight and Capela as late as 2015…any coach doing that now would get laughed outta the league

it’s a totally different NBA now compared to when Rondo was relevant

    Another misconception

Golden State won a chip with 3 players in their lineup who couldn't shoot; Iguodala, Draymond and Looney.

If you have player movement, which GS did well; back cuts, screens, etc.... you can still spread the court.

I think Amen will be fine, even if he doesnt shoot a high percentage of 3pt shots, because he move so well w/o the ball.

You all know that I'm a huge Jalen fan but even I have criticized him tremendously over the past couple of seasons. Especially during "humpgate". If the Rockets do draft Reed(which I doubt) and he turns out to be the opposite of what I expect, I will be the first to admit being wrong. I've never had a problem doing so in the past.

Exactly. We are all allowed to be wrong. Except for BTG. He better be right.

Since we're going with the traditional it's a white guy, compare to white guy...

How about a more athletic, better shooting John Stockton.

    Sheppard Freshman #'s
    29 MPG
    12/4/4
    2.5 SPG

Stockton Sophmore #'s (closer amount of PT)
    39 MPG
    11/5/2
    2.5 SPG

Not saying he's going to be a top 5 PG of all time, but just because his skin color happens to be white, it does not automatically put him into any box.

GS had Steph and Klay, and later KD…all-time talent and all-time shooters…it didn’t matter who else was on the court…they had Swaggy P and that scrub who injured CP3 (forgot his name) getting WCF minutes

quoting me some outlier team like GS is useless

In the NBA you need shooters.

Do you prefer Landry Shamet or Troy Daniels with defense? I think ultimately, the thing that will determine Reed's trajectory will be his handle. I have yet to see anything that indicates that he can dribble at the level of Nash or Stockton. If he can develop that he can be a point guard if not he's just a lost tweener.

What about Toronto, are they an outlier? Kawhi, Lowry, Gasol, OG? None of them were great 3pt shooters
