Lol wut? Sengun absolutely had the better season last year. Reread. I'm stating their careers are too young for people to be definitive that Sengun will end up being the best player. That's all. Green has shown enough where he has absolutely has a chance to just have a consistent seasons and that could very well be enough.
Lol, clearly you just want to watch the team burn, and that's fine, but it makes it hard to take you seriously.
I don’t think the Blazers would deal Henderson for Amen at this point. Yeah - the Rockets would likely take Sarr at #3. However Clingan cannot cover the perimeter or necessarily switch great.
We should definitely grab Starr at 3 if he’s there. If the blazers wouldn’t trade scoot for amen they are idiots.
Think of it like this and maybe you can understand why I think you should take Clingan or Risacher, before Reed. 1) There is no star in this draft! 2) The one thing you can't teach is height 3) Even avg centers are valuable in trade 4) Reed was inconsistent throughout the yr Despite of what some may think about Calipari, the players still determine the outcome on the court. Reed in his last two games were, a Net -10 and -9. Which were the two most important games of his college career and he did not play up to the level of a #3 NBA DRAFT Pick. Was it nerves? Pressure? Bad luck? Etc? All we do know is, he didn't show up. Additionally, he had inconsistent play throughout the yr. The only position he can play is the PG, he's not versatile. If he doesn't not pan out at that spot, he has noting else to bring.
Did a Google search - this is correct. The fact that both of the teams who worked him out passed on him (and in the case of Orlando, passed on him for someone they didn’t even work out) should have been a major red flag to the Rockets. When the almost unanimous #1 prospect falls after his workouts, said prospect probably has some issues.
Lol, if only you actually watched the games so you could have an informed opinion... I'm not sure it would help you much, but it couldn't hurt. You have to guess out of ignorance, I don't.... that's why I'm not concerned about those games where the game plan foolishly pushed the ball through the big men.... and got the coach run out of town. There's no valid argument to pick a 3rd string center or a 4th string SF with the 3rd pick. There's also no argument that a 52% 3 point shooter with a 70% TS% who averaged 2.5 steals a game was "inconsistent". The only inconsistency was usage and volume, things that were controlled by the coach
@megastahr I think you may be onto something. Teams normally don't show their hands, most of the media theories are planted to drive other outcomes. I've seen this firsthand.
I loved how the TRUTH hurts! I notice you get upset when I pinpointed Reed's flaws and the valid reasons for not picking him. But like I said, I watched maybe 2 or 3 of Kentucky's games last yr. One he played well, the other he was alright. And like I said as well, he is highly inconsistent. Below is his 23 - 24 scoring stats for you to review, so you dont think Im just throwing stuff out of the sky. Of his 34 collge games, he had 12 games under double figures. 12,3,13,25,0,12,21,25,6,11,11,11,14,3,13,9,12,3,14,24,16,6,21,13,4,7,8,32,10,8,27,14,3 If he was versatile where he could defend different positions, a good rebounder, etc and offered more, I could probably see it but his main skill is SCORING and he is inconsistent at it! And Compared to Brandon Miller who was last yrs best scorer....he had 2 games under double figures in college; 8 and 9.
Lmao at comaparing Reed and Scoot.. Scoot is trash man Reed is going to have a better first year easily and most likely a far longer career than Scoot
What do you think Reed's stats would have been in Scoot's role as a 19 year old rookie having to create all of his own offense off the dribble against set half court NBA defenses? Great chance Sheppard will have better scoring efficiency numbers a rookie and still not have the future of Scoot because his efficiency will be more a product of his role. It really shows how vapid your analysis is when you can't use basic context like this. How many rookies have efficient seasons at 19 when asked to do what Scoot did as a primary creator at age 29 for a NBA team? The ones who are moderately efficient with that role at that age are people like LeBron and Luka. You think Reed would have an efficient season given that role? You think he's that level of prospect?
I don't think I've seen anyone say Reed will be as good as Curry. Steph is the best shooter of all time and one of the top NBA players ever. That said, you are of base with with the way Steph plays. Since Steph became otherworldly under Kerr, they have mostly run a motion offense. Steph only averages about 1.5 iso's per game for his career and he's ok at it, not amazing. For instance, last year Podz was the best iso guard on gsw, Steph was behind him by a bit and 700 year old cp3 was third on their team not far behind Steph. GSW under Kerr does not iso much. This past season Klay was number 1 in the league for the number of possession/game of shots off screens and Curry was 2nd in the NBA. 60% of Curry's threes were assisted and 51% off all his shots combined were assisted. All that said, all you have to do is watch a few youtube vids and you can see that Reed creates offense in a similar way but he does have some iso ability to create his own shot as well. Is he an iso player? No, he's more of a team oriented player and moves the ball and moves off ball....Similar to Steph. Sheppard is light years ahead of Castle in just about everything from an offensive standpoint. Castle has much better physical tools (which don't always translate) but their defensive stats were actually not far apart. The difference in their defensive rating was 3.8. Castle had a 99.3 and Reed had a 103.1. Castles DWS was 1.7 and Reed was 1.4 And Reed actually had the higher DBPM at 5.0 to Castles 3.1 Reed was also the better defensive rebounder as well. Castle should be a really good individual defender. But Reed isn't a cone on defense. Add that to the vastly superior offensive game and the decision is pretty easy. I don't think there is a team in the NBA that would have both of those guys on the board and choose Castle.
