Its amazing after years of offensive posts designed to "own the libs", now magas are suddenly delicate snowflakes.
gas is still 4 bucks a gallon, a McDonald's meal cost 15 bucks, and folks who don't have stocks that are at all-time highs don't care about stocks that are at an all-time high
Yet it for some reason was the brag while Trump was in office. Heck even before he was inaugurated. Gas is basically the same price it was in 2008.
I get it, progressive disdain for the little people is real. If you're a senior citizen, your $1200/month social security check (that's $300 a week . . . although technically only in February I guess) doesn't go as far as it did 5-10 years ago.
It's really irritating reading posts decrying the improvement in inflation. I understand guys like @Invisible Fan and his concern about debt, but posts like this, sure unemployment is still historically low and the economy is great and inflation is improving but fat ass American killing Bug Macs still cost whatever are just mind numbingly partisan childish
Lol - @Os Trigonum, my longtime friend, my dear buddy. I see why you mostly post articles without comment because the "Old Man Yells at Cloud" energy in this small sample of tokens that you have burped up for us from your very own voice - is so very truly strong. Anyways enjoy your McRib! I hear they cost eleventy six dollars now, maybe your kids can give you a bridge loan you intransigent dope.
Perhaps you can tell us which idea from the ideas to stop inflation from all the detractors you support?
look, because of covid, prices went up. The rate of inflation may have slowed, but prices have not come back down--they're still up. look, Trump lost millions of jobs (largely but not entirely because of covid). Biden has brought back millions and millions of jobs (mostly because of covid). Biden claims credit for bringing back jobs. If Biden can claim credit for bringing back jobs, why can't he bring prices back down? I don't see Biden taking credit for bringing prices back down. Just because inflation has slowed does not mean the pain people have felt in their wallets since 2020 has stopped.
You missed the point, Biden critics can only complain because there really is nothing that can be done. There are no other ideas, specially from Republicans. There is criticism on how Biden supposedly made it worse but no one has a solution
This entire thread is devoted to Bidenomics and how it is saving the world one American citizen at a time. My point is that many American citizens don't see themselves as having benefitted from Bidenomics.
All the criticism is about inflation because all other economic metrics that are quantifiable are doing well Yes inflation is a huge metric in people's everyday lives but no one has an idea to fix it
What the **** are you talking about. McDonald's meal doesn't cost 15 dollars. If you use the McDonald's app you can literally get 2 big macs for less than 5 bucks right now. Don't blame others cuz you can't use an app @rocketsjudoka like I told you all this donk does is spew anti biden conspiracies in every thread then you folks pretend he's some moderate independent. He's a raging MAGAT and always has been.
Health insurance rates are at record highs as biden has made obamacare almost free of charge for large chunk of population. Even for folks who boomers like yourself who retired before Medicare kicks in now Health insurance is free for anyone who makes under 60k as a family Student loans which 40 million people have in America have been transformed so vast majority of Middle income folks are paying 0 dollars a month
Is Fast Food Affordable Anymore? Here’s How Menu Prices Have Changed Over the Years [2024] FinanceBuzz compared the current prices of popular fast-food menu items to what they cost a decade ago to find the chains where inflation has had the biggest and smallest impact. https://financebuzz.com/fast-food-prices-vs-inflation excerpt: Key findings From 2014 to 2024, average menu prices have risen between 39% and 100% — all increases that outpace inflation during the given time period (31%).
