There's something about the tempo that I can't get into in that style of music

That song in particular reminds me of the Lumineers (generational gap). I actually like a lot of country and pop music from the 50's / 60's, but the tempo switch in a lot of the 80's/90's music just doesn't mesh with my palate.

Okay I watched the video. It’s not as bad as I expected from CNBC. So the guest’s answer seemed to be that government ruined capitalism and the answer is to revert back to “real” capitalism. That’s as laughable as the “we’ve never tried real socialism” trope.

The right answer is that capitalists ruins capitalism. Capitalism is inherently unstable and unfair. Government can be a check on capitalism, but capitalism tends to ruin government too.

The panelists actually made the points that corporatism and government capture is part of the problem. Good points, so it’s not governments fault, the root is capitalism corrupting governments which corrupts capitalism. There is an inherent feedback loop where more money leads to more power which leads to more money, etc, etc.

If you go over the through line of libertarian philosophy in America you realize how vapid it is and how much it's based off the desires of wealthy landed gentry who owned slaves to feel as if they are self sufficient farming entrepreneurs. Look at how fake Thomas Jefferson was waxing lyrical about ancient Roman farmers(who also owned slaves) and how society would be better off if it was just a bunch of hard working farming men leaving out the part that all the actual farm work was done by slave labor. It's vapid. It's hollow.

Libertarianism has always been an ideology that centers around the freedom to exploit other humans.

Conservative towards migration politics with empathy for special cases.

    Moderate towards economy, lifestyle etc.
