@Bobbythegreat I think you just answered ALL the questions on why the Rockets should not draft Reed Sheppard!! Lol

As hyped as Scoot Henderson was last yr, he is already looked upon as a bust this yr. And a lot of what you said is true; short, can't shoot, and can not defend!

All I heard last yr was Scoot is a good defender, he can shoot the 3pt shot, his size doesn't matter, etc. I think everybody within the Blazers organization would trade him for Amen in a heartbeat!

If Clingan or Sarr is on the board at #3....TAKE HIM!

It is not the size of the player in the game but the size of the game in the player. ;)

The prospects I'm most interested in are those that have an elite skill, preferably shooting (Sheppard) or were a major part of their team winning at the highest level of their competition bracket. An NCAA Champion really stands out to me (Clingan and Castle).

Winning solves everything, unless Wemby is a flake who needs a buddy.

With #1 pick, you must draft BPA with no concern for player personal preferences (or what coaches prefer, for that matter).

You’re describing a dumb organizational decision…especially when another French guy will be available at 8.

The FACT of the matter is that Scoot graded out higher than Reed. Yes, their styles are different, Scoot is compared more to a MODERN DAY PG; Ja Morant and Derrick Rose, rather than a HISTORIC PG Mark Price.....THINK ABOUT IT.

Shooting is the SINGLE most important skill you can have in basketball, you can be a terrible athlete but if you can shoot it, you can play.

EVERY single person is on that court trying to SHOOT to make a basket, it is the 1 thing that everyone is trying to do.

And if you have an ELITE shooter - not good, not great but ELITE - (Steph Curry) you make up for a lot of sins and put so much pressure on the other team to keep up.

If we don't draft Shepherd, I am concerned that Stone doesn't know what the hell he is doing......right now, SHOOTING is what is holding this team back, and he has drafted guys that CAN'T SHOOT hoping they learn how to.....that is a big mistake.....every one of these young men have had 10 + years to learn to shoot - if they don't know how now, chances are against them ever becoming a plus shooter.

This kid Shepherd comes out of the box the best shooter on the team the minute he steps on the practice floor....and he is smart with a high BBall IQ and very athletic - this SCREAMS NBA player -

The Rockets will RUE the Day if they don't take Reed.

We have no idea who the Spurs have at the top of their draft board. It could very well be Sheppard and if they trade up to get him it would really suck for us for a long time. That being said I do not want the Rockets to trade up for him due to the likely very high cost.

At that size, he probably won't be in the game.

Looks 6’2 to me. Who cares man. He’s short, he didn’t start at UK, he’s white, blah, blah.

Can the man hoop? He can shoot the crap out of the ball & we need shooting. If he just holds his own defensively in the NBA, it’s a really good pick. Because offensively Reed has it. Is 3 high yes, but in this draft, if you like a guy you take your guy.

Because these so called experts sit around grabbing each others dicks and stroke each other in a giant circle jerk instead of actually watching the games, or players to see who can really play.

It reminds me of Moneyball -"I have seen you sit in a room with a young man and say...when I know, I know - and you don't....you don't..."

That is the NBA draft projectors......analytics and numbers all point to this guy being amazing, they also pointed to Sengun being great -because numbers don't lie.....

    People do. (and bourbon too)

Tell it to FVV, Steph, Iverson, Calvin Murphy, Ja Morant...etc...etc...etc....etc....etc.....shooting cures all ills.

Spurs wouldn't do that. They are in a good spot. If Houston were to draft Sheppard, then the Spurs would just follow that up by drafting Dillingham.

It depends on who was doing the grading. I was a big no on him from his first stint in the G League.

The people who called him a Ja type are the same idiots who called Jalen the next Kobe.... they are people you shouldn't take seriously.

Reed Sheppard grades highly among those who are actually good at this (not talking about me here BTW) and he grades poorly to those who aren't.... those who fall for flashy hype.

I think that speaks for itself.

I respect you and I agree with you 100%, this team needs shooting! However, I think they can fill those needs in Free Agency; Alec Burk, Buddy Hield, etc.

I REALLY WANT YOU ALL TO LOOK AT THIS PIC.

This kid is short, tiny, small and any other word that signify him as being shorter than his counterparts.

People continue to compare him to Steph Curry, based upon one yr of playing in college, in which he was highly inconsistent.

The one thing I see that he doesnt have that Steph has is an elite handle, which gives him the ability to get his own shot. If you are small, you got to have an elite handle.

If you're small and depending on others to get you an open shot, that can be shut down quick! In the NBA, you got to be able to get your own shot....The NBA and college is different

Funny that Jokic and Steph have never been the types to need their buddies or brothers or whatever to be signed by their team. If Wemby is already making these types of demands then I have zero concerns about him as a threat. Same with Luka who's been a fat baby this entire Finals.

You seem to be evading the fact that the Spurs aren’t trading up to make Wemby happy.

Why do fans and media add such bs to draft decisions, when in fact, teams like the Spurs aren’t that stupid.

just seems like a warm and fuzzy way to believe Sheppard is top pick, yet will still be available at 3.
