The Rockets wouldn't have lost games 6 and 7 to the Warriors and they would have beaten the Cavs.
But something would have gone wrong. It's just not meant to be for Harden and that style of basketball to win championships. At the very least, the Cavaliers would have preferred playing the Rockets.

lebron, kobe, jordan all won titles playing that style, seems to work just fine. Obviously the easiest way to win is to build a superteam, but that's rare

lol Clint capela made jokic look like a role player routinely back during those games

Michael Malone referred to harden as the new michael Jordan lol. Malone was apart of those coaches with Kerr, coach bud, and spo running to Adam silver to have harden nerfed lol

    https://rocketswire.usatoday.com/20...lone-compares-james-harden-to-michael-jordan/

I think he’s seen every single conceivable defensive coverage and he demands that kind of attention. He’s a great player. I’ve been in the league 19 years and no disrespect to all the other great players in those 19 years, but he’s, I think, the toughest guy to prepare for.

He can hit the three. He gets to the foul line a ton. He makes his teammates better. He can create his own shot. If you want to force him left, he’s going to beat you. If you want to force him right, he can still beat you. He’s one of those guys when you’re watching film, it’s like you’re watching a horror movie.

The nuggets were “terrified” of harden lol

The Rockets couldnt beat GSW with half their team injured.

Harden by himself is amazing but the team is ass. and Jokic is the 3x mvp so as good as Harden is Jokic is better.

That Rox team missed 23 straight three pointers. Everybody just posts the good stats never the bad ones lol.

Like who? Ariza who was a scrub on the Hawks? Is losing Ariza equivalent to GSW losing Klay, Cousins, Iggy, and an injured Steph Curry?

Everybody just overrated the 2018 Rockets. They got exposed the following year.

Literally the same as the PHX team with CP0 that went to the Finals.

Nobody but Rox homers even remembers that team. Do you give a crap about the PHX team with Cp3 that went to the Finals?

That teams looks just as good if not better than the 2018 Rockets.

That’s cause bum ass Harden don’t belong with those names.

Y’all losers gotta realize he’s been in the league 15 years and he’s never come close to making it happen. The fan club loves to dwell on the fact that GSW is an all time great team and how it wasn’t fair. The Warriors won 3 titles while Harden was in the West. So what about the other 12 years??

He was getting eliminated by a Damian Lillard in his 2nd year. Losing by 40 in a close out game at home without Kawhi and Tony Parker. Being Jimmy Butler’s bottom biitch and spending the entire 4th quarter on the bench in another elimination game.

4 different teams in 5 years and 6 straight 2nd round exits. All that moving around, while being extra and playing with different super teams all for nothing lmao. BUM ASS LOSER! Funniest thing this clown recently said he wants to be remembered as a winner. Talk about delusional. Both Harden and his loser fan club.

If your argument is that the rockets would have one horrific shooting game and lose once to this wolves team, fair enough. Maybe it goes 5, maaaaaaybe it goes 6, but the wolves would have a 0% chance to win the series

yes if the 2 centers are gobert and karl anthony towns.. 2 centers who while they were younger had issues with those rockets teams in the playoffs.. especially gobert. Towns was never an elite player.. and anthony edwards is a glorfied donovan mitchell/oladipo

people truly say the dumbest sh*t on here

ah yes, the Suns team that made the finals with a 51-21 record (58 win pace) and +5.8 point differential looked just as good if not better than the 2018 Rockets who were 65-17 with a +8.5 point differential

and then comparing the 2018 Rockets to next year’s team with a Chris Paul who had arguably his worst season since his rookie year after he blew his hamstring…lmao

Except those 3 were lockdown defenders as well. While Harden n Luka have the who can be worse on defense competition.

Kobe was a horrible defender after his first couple seasons, but ya mj was good (though he played before defense started to exist in the nba) and lebron was good till 2015ish
