I love watching Luka, he is a very talented player - he is a franchise player. Having said that, the guy has largely gotten a free ride when it comes to criticism. He was fat coming into camp, bad enough that he admitted he was out of shape at like 21-22 years old. It's not that he doesn't work at his craft, he does - he is a gym rat but he doesn't really like working out and doing the things he needs to do to improve at his job. Also - I am sorry, but his defense has always been horrendous, and it isn't because he is tiny like Curry - who is an all time bad defender, but he is just too small, weak and slow to defend. Luka just doesn't even try most the times. He is really young still - and I expect that he is going to win at least a few titles, but he doesn't have the write level of sacrifice at this point. Can you imagine if Harden did this? LeBron James? KD? .... they would be crucified.
Sometimes he just runs and runs to then stand still, like a board, as someone dribbles around him. Hahaha. So so bad. #fannnntastic
The discrepancy between Harden hate and Luka hate has always been glaring. I get Luka is still young but man, Harden would have been crucified already.
Speaking of losers, Harden was also a loser. This thread is arguing who the best loser is. It ain't their fault, though. They were allowed to play a style of basketball - a heliocentric offense with little to no defense - that does not win. This season, yet again, real basketball wins.
Once Again . . . you cannot play(REF) basketball one way all season Then decide to change at decide to change That is means your product is tainted Rocket River
There's that, and the league manipulates results by selecting specific referees to get certain results. For example, last night's refs have a reputation for not taking any **** from anyone. You make them referee Doncic in a high-pressure environment, and you could predict that Doncic likely loses his ****. If your goal was for the Mavericks to lose Doncic during the game, you probably picked that crew. The league could aim for all of their crews to be like McDonald's, the same everywhere, but then they'd lose the way for them to manipulate outcomes.
Ehh. I didn't like everything that Harden did, but I wouldn't go so far as to call him a loser. He was a CP3 hamstring from winning a title. He was good enough to win a couple of titles. I put him in the same class as I put guys like David Robinson. They didn't have everything but had a lot of what was needed.
I do not know but David Robinson was probably quite the role model back then......not the party tiger..... I think Harden was the better player offensively and Robinson was a force defensively only second to Hakeem...... I always compare Harden to Dennis Rodman but on the offensive side.......older Rodman was quite the diva and also decided to show up when he had to.....he was a distraction in San Antonia as Harden was in Brooklyn and Philly.
If Paul had stayed healthy, they still lose against the Warriors. Something would have gone wrong because Harden and that style of basketball is destined to lose. On top of style, there's something wrong with Harden. He's cursed or something. If not, they don't beat the Cavaliers.
You're comparing the guy that literally gave up in the playoffs against a tony parker and kwahi-less spurs team AT HOME to David Robinson? get outta here w that. Harden was and is a loser, at least relative to his talent... never mind a malcontent. You can't say he was one CP3 hamstring away from winning a title and then leave out that he had CP3 shipped out a year later bc he didn't like the way CP3 tried to hold him accountable. The guy wilted every time the lights got bright, got multiple people traded/fired, and was always more concerned w his social calendar than his teammates. It isn't a coincidence he never won jack ****.
