Original of songs most people don’t know are covers

Second Hand Songs

I have noticed that they are missing some Covers, but they do have quite a few of them.

 

That's %^$^-ing weird. I was literally about to post this to the "cover songs better than the original" thread around noon today, but then I decided the cover really wasn't all that great. It's still cached in my firefox in that thread.




I saw this on YouTube this morning which is when, for the first time in my life, I realized was a cover, George asking to hear the song on the radio right around the time "Love Me Do" was a big hit in the US:

 

I'm not sure how many 80's kids know that this:

It's funny, because I loved a lot of 80's songs and bands at the time, from one hit wonders, pop, punk rock, and rock and roll, but it's also an era of music, for the most part I could care less about hearing again. Now the music and bands from the 60's and 70's are timeless for me. Some of the best artists and musicians came from that era, and they were all so unique.
