If you are seeking acknowledgement this may not be the place for you. I can't acknowledge each good statement on this board, but I make it a point to press the like button on ones that strike a nerve. Very seldom will folks outright compliment you on what you are saying, but your takes will be respected until they are not. Thats kind of the long and short of it around here. Facebook is where you go to get likes. Clutch is where you go to engage with semi like-minded folks with the common thread being the Astros. Everyone on this board has a niche. We got the: Analytics dudes. The old curmudgeon guard. The doom and gloom prophets The Mary Sunshine crowd. The eternal homers. The haters The peacemakers The internal feuders with other posters The jokers and many others. As flawed as this site is, activity is consistent, and I look forward to checking in daily for many a Fortnite.
Yeah, I was puzzled by that take too. Usually Brother Houstunna is on point with his takes. We may need to pray the rosary again.
Just about everyone on that team had a career year last year, rookies going off etc. We all knew they weren't building a dynasty over there. It was uncanny and obviously not sustainable......
I fall somewhere in the Curmudgeon, joker demographic. I'm 56 now. I used to joke around a lot in the early days of my posting on here, but many times wit gets missed and angers others. I never care if others agree with my posts, but it is never my intention to get into a keyboard war . UNLESS someone else starts it. You can apply the lyrics to I love this bar, to this forum.
Rangers have the biggest bandwagon fans ever. In 10 years from now, these snobby Rangers fans don't remember any of the 2023 games, or members of the 1 and done championship team. These dummies will say Wyatt Langford was part of the fluke championship team.
Sorry, I started my response before yours had been posted. I don’t know that I’d agree with your take on his weight or discipline even if we both agree he’s not the answer at first based on his overall output.
Knowing Manager Joe, J.Abreu and Chas is playing today; off Jake Meyers and Tuve. Manager Joe likes to give Tuve 2 days off.
Their offense and bullpen definitely will though. And I’m not rooting for injuries, but let’s be honest, they’ve had pretty fortunate luck with their rotation the last year and a half. We’ve seen what can happen to starters.
Yeah I feel like I'm setting myself up for some huge disappointment and heartbreak later on this year if i don't tone down expectations
