That narrative was enough to get the Rockets to pass on a good player for a draft bust in 2021 so I see it's being rolled out again in the hopes Stone will blow another top 3 pick. Here's hoping he learned his lesson.
What an odd reaction...I was just pointing out that you made it clear last night that you were just trolling and not to be taken seriously. Why would that lead to strong emotions of any kind? Such a weirdo.
No Bobbythedreamer. His camp saw the same thing I did. They want him to get playing time and he won't here in Houston because of our depth. Plus our coach wants to win now.
You tell me. You're the only one on the attack. You used to be my homie. Now you're acting like you dont even know me. It's cool though. I understand.
My daughter wants a pony. Who could blame her? No, you can't always get what you want You can't always get what you want You can't always get what you want But if you try sometime you'll find You get what you need -- The Rolling Stones
My initial reaction is "LOL No one wants to come to Houston since Morey packed up and got the **** up." My second reaction is that Sheppard is a perfect fit on the offensive end, for what San Antonio wants to do - and there are some similarities in Ginobili and Sheppard and far as roles are concerned. So, I could see where someone would believe he is a great fit in San Antonio. Also, in San Antonio, even with Victor - they are more of a meritocracy, and he will get to do what he wants.
Yeah, if this is even true, I assume it is more about playing time. SA is basically Wemby and a pile of crap. Houston has deeper talent.
This is what I have been trying to tell you all this whole time. But I'm a troll. I'm a badcoachlee. I'm everything but right.
You are badcoachlee. You have been saying a lot of other nonsense. But that's ok. Even a broken clock...
I'll add that it is unlikely that Sheppard is going to force himself to go to a particular team - and out of the roughly 30 players drafted in the first round, only like 5% will go to the team that they want. Out of that roughly 5%, half will likely want to be on another team in a year or two. I highly doubt that Green, Jabari or Amen had the Rockets as their top choice, they all wanted to go #1. So if the Rockets want Reed, they will take Reed and it won't be an issue.
Even if he does want to go play with Wemby, it's hard to imagine he'd be too upset landing with us--.500 team with a lot of talent and a respected HC is a better situation than most guys get near the top of the draft.
He would likely get more playing time with the Spurs next year but only next year. Once FVV is gone he would likely be a starter here and a perfect fit. Who cares if he wants to be here or not if we pick him he will sign.
It is 100% is playing time. Nothing about the front office of the Spurs in the past decade inspires confidence relative to the Rockets. They are running on the fumes of prior successes in terms of positive media narratives and the luck of getting the number one pick during the year of Wemby. If you look at their player development in the past half decade it's rather pedestrian.
I would say there is a higher chance Amen becomes the replacement for Fred when he is gone than Reed if we draft him.
