In fairness, that guy is basically Jalen Green's Baghdad Bob....speaking honestly about basketball is not something he's done in the past several years. Blatant misinformation is all he has to peddle.

I wouldn't say lack of agility, but Hollinger who I generally respect given his background puts Sheppard at "iffy agility."

There are zero guarantees drafting any player. That being said, the guy just had a phenomenal season and excelled at our biggest weakness He has perfect form on his shot and shot better in his one year than just about any NBA sharpshooter in the history of the league did in college including Curry. That is not to say he will be the next Curry but I see no need to place an artificial ceiling on a kid who has never set foot on an NBA floor. The thing is he is not just a shooter. He has great bball IQ, quick hands, great reads for steals, and can jump really high indicating he is a great athlete. His only weakness is his height. I think this kid has all the tools to be a really solid NBA player and a chance to be really special. I do not see a downside drafting him and I would absolutely hate to see him playing with Wemby on our I-10 rival. I think we would regret that for the next 15 years. There is a reason some teams have him ranked at the top of their draft board and I am not 100% sure he will make it to us. If he is there it would be stupid to not take him IMHO.

When you prove that Sheppard started in his one season at Kentucky then I'll stop. Dont give me that minutes played bs. Show me where he started the game.

He played the 3rd most minutes on the team. There's really only two options here, you're being intentionally misleading or you are incredibly ignorant.

    I'll let you pick.

This is exactly it. From what I've seen, no one who actually watched the games doubts his game.

That's not starting. Quit trying to dress it up to make it seem sweet. Did he start??? Simple question.

I dont doubt his game. I doubt y'all's assessment of his game. You're trying to make him something that he is not.

I'm not worried about Sheppard because the coach didn't start him every game. I'd blame that on the coach, and not his talent if Kentucky had a 21.4 NET RTG with Reed Sheppard on the floor and -8.1 when he was OFF the floor.

Phenomenal??? He didn’t even crack the starting lineup for his team and scored 3 points in the Tournament. Phenomenal….is Zach Edey who averaged 25 points and 14 rebounds a game in taking his team to the finals and averaging 30 points 15 rebounds in the Tournament.

You're harping on an irrelevant point to push a false narrative, the fact that you keep doing it suggests you are simply a dishonest person rather than being the dumbest person in the world....but those are the options my guy.

Would it be better to be a guy who played 28.9 out of 40 minutes every single game but technically didn't start or the guy who played 21.4 minutes a game and technically started?

I get it though, you fell in love with the measurables of some random scrub so you want to tear down the guys who are a lot better than him so that they can seem better....but that's not going to happen, you're just going to come off as a really dishonest weirdo that should be ignored in conversations of substance.

Why not ditch the shtick and at least attempt being honest?

LOL, coming from someone who hasn't watched anything.....

Sorry my guy, but you didn't do your homework so you can't just bluff your way through this and pretend like you did. I can agree or disagree with someone who put in the time to have an informed opinion, but I flat out reject those who want to push their uninformed opinion as if it is relevant.

Tell me James Harden was a "bench player" in OKC as you keep implying Sheppard is.

In his third year, Harden played in third most minutes of the team and finished games. That's exactly what Sheppard is for the Kentucky team. You still wanting to use this bench thing to talk down on the guy shows that you are not discussing in good faith.
