If you want to know if you support a potential tyrant and tyranny ask if the nominee for your party is a convicted felon with other members of his administration already in prison or sentenced to prison. Then ask if the nominee of your party is campaigning on locking up his political opponents and tried to do so in the past. Then ask if the nominee of your party tried to submit a slate of fake electors in an effort to overturn the will of the people of the nation in which you live. Then ask if the nominee of your party has pledged to be a dictator on day 1 if re-elected.
Again we can 1,000 page threads if we're going to post every stupid thing Royce White is says or does. There is legitimate tension among the MN GOP about supporting White. Many MAGA Republicans are supporting him because they believe he is a "fighter" who will take it to the "Leftists" . At the same time there are several others who think he is a nutcase. The MN GOP though is very MAGA.
Fortunately, the good people of MIN can be trusted to not elect a loon (but somehow bachman managed to get elected). Unfortunately while a few deeply disturbed people get kept out (eg herschel walker) there are plenty of loons and crooks that do get in (boobert, large marge, gaetz, luna, etc).
Bachman's district is very conservative (and even there she barely eked out wins). Bachmann couldn't win a statewide election. The last Republican to win a statewide election in Minnesota was Tim Pawlenty and given that the MN GOP has been putting up ever more Rightwing, and now crazy, candidates it's unlikely they will win another statewide race soon.

Children shouldn't have gender re-assignment surgery, and the evidence coming out supports this contention, and it is why other countries in the West are moving against it. It is only tolerated in the USA because of politics and money. I don't agree with conservative advocates that want to ban all treatment for those minors that have gender related questions or concerns. However, the use of strong drug, mastectomies and other surgical procedures are not appropriate. It will stop when a great number of these minors became adults and sue their medical providers and parents for letting them make permanent and dangerous changes to their bodies as minors. The vast majority of those minors that question their gender end up happy with their born sex as adults. Surgical procedures and hormone treatment should be available for adults and should be covered under healthcare and paid through medic-aid as well.
Russians are actually in Ukraine, they are actively invading, they have control of chunks of the country. I am under no illusions about Ukraine and their government. When the smoke clears, it will come out that there was corruption and that Zelensky profited from it. However, that does not mean that it is reasonable to expect there to be elections at this time, and under these conditions. As for European politics - it always ebbs and flows...... the left and right trade off "massive defeats" with periods of normality sprinkled in. The left will go too far on immigration or some other topic similar, and the voters will blast them back to normality.
