Actually, the biggest difference between Jim Jones and Trump is that Trump would watch them die and walk away.
You can't dispute the fact that Trump is a pathological liar. His brain isn't wired normally. He can't control himself. Why would anyone vote to elect a pathological liar as the leader of our country? A felon on top of that! A felon with 3 more pending trials with far more serious charges. Just from looking at a few of those rally clips above you cant dispute the fact that every single time Trump speaks there is at least 1 lie coming out of his mouth every 5 minutes. Sometimes he crams several lies within 5 minutes of speaking. He's a pathological liar to the extreme. I mean the guy doesn't just lie once or twice a week. He lies every single time he speaks for 5 minutes or more. Seriously, why would you support a President who will flat out lie to you and everyone else over and over and over again?
It’s unfortunate that it took Trump’s supporters threatening to hang him to get him there. That said I get the feeling for people like Lindsey Graham Trump supporters could threaten to kill him and he would still kiss Trump’s ass.
This is seriously a problem with this country and I think there are a few factors. 1. Inflation has come down but prices for food and housing are high while interest rates haven’t come down. That does have a very visible effect in Americans everyday life. 2. Biden isn’t just actually old but comes off as old and stuff. 3. Biden is and has been a very bad communicator. 4.The large amounts of migrants at the border and difficulties getting them settled in the country. 5. Trump gets an over size amount of attention. While much of this is negative it still keeps him in people’s minds. 6. There is a lack of trust or even agreement in media so many just filter out what information they get. 7. Our culture has greatly changed in the last few decades leading to more anger and grievance from those who feel that their positions in society is under threat.
