How long is Espada going to keep using Pressly in leverage innings? How long is he going to keep letting him pitch to 5 and 6 and 7+ batters while he is letting teams back into ballgame, and steal games from the Astros.
Pressly needs to move to a low leverage spot. Can't put him in the 7th or later inning. He's lost it.
Sub .500 in the regular season in his first year... made the playoffs because the division was a dumpster fire.... plus expanded playoffs.

Pretty sad that Pressly pitches like a closer in the 9th, but is a practice pitcher in the 8th. He didn't have a clean inning last time he pitched. Trade him before he singlehandedly destroy the season for the Stros with an assist from Jose Espada.
I sure as hell dont. I also think Espada is an idiot. Time to get rid of the excess old treads on this team.
Close - the mother ****ers cannot stand the thought of being over .500%. It took until the 8th inning, but I knew they would find a way to **** up prosperity….and if it wasn’t going to be an error or 0-4 from Abreu, it was going to be Arrighetti giving up 6 runs in the first - it would be a Pressly special… I don’t care if his FIP is like 2.50 this year, Pressly will start an inning with a walk or a double to make sure he screws up. The Astros have Abreu/Pressly/Hader and the Astros most pressing need is still a good leverage reliever. It isn’t the 1950’s anymore, but it’s too bad Verlander can’t what Whitey Ford did and drag Pressly around the clubhouse by his throat.
They will figure it out by demoting Pressly -- but if they don't, you're still okay with it because you don't really celebrate victories anyway.
