I have trouble figuring out whether posters are not well versed and genuinely unaware or internationally being disingenuous when they compare a freshman's stats to a junior.
I get it, why some people do not like this guy (he's white), but the kid can shoot and create, and is not a zero on defense at all. He is literally the 1 (of 2 things) that the Rox just do not have = shooting Interior defense who can play beside Sengun being the other.
Does it matter? Who gives a rats ass if he’s white? Im sure Stone wants to keep his damn job. He better make the best choice, whatever it is.
He would be neither a better defender at PG or a better shooter than FVV which is who they currently have and he's such a head case that he's demanding the starting PG job day one. He's simply not even in consideration for a top 5 pick. He's just not good enough.
We're not looking for him to be better than FVV. Shep wont be either. He couldn't even beat out Dillingham. Carter will be the 1st guard off the bench immediately. Like I said, Reed is 2 years away from carving out a spot in the rotation.
You all are hoping and wishing Sheppard, a bench player, turns out to be good. I know Carter will contribute to the Rockets much sooner rather than later.
Ah, you're right, I got them mixed up. Castle is the version who is a headcase that can't shoot, Carter is the one being hyped almost exclusively due to his wingspan that was a 3 year college player for a 10 win Providence squad.
This just shows me that you didn't put ANY effort into watching these guys....Sheppard and Dillingham came of the bench together....neither started. I might take the analysis more seriously if I thought there was ANY chance it was even a little bit informed. If you even watched a single Kentucky game, you'd have known what the starting lineup looked like and who the 2 guys who came off the bench at the same time playing heavy minutes were.
If we trade #3 for a veteran stud (Dejounte Murray), I'd want a pick back in the 10 - 12 range to land Carter or Salaun,
