Didn't want to say it, but it deserved mention.

    The two saving graces are
    1) he's sucked so badly, you take anything
    2) he had a go-ahead HR in the LDS clincher vs MINN

Time will tell the overall outcome... it always does.

The best record from the 3rd best wildcard team is only 33-30. Astros are 4 1/2 games behind that mark.

So not winning the division and still getting into the playoffs is actually somewhat feasible.

I find the constant hate Framber gets to be utterly perplexing.

Is he perfect, no, but dude won the game that clinched a WS title and has been a consistent horse surrounded by a revolving door of injuries and inconsistency in the rotation since 2020.

Today is what turns it all around...for real this time.

Astros just 4.5 games out of the playoffs, 6.5 games out of 1st place in the division. Amazing considering their injuries and bad luck.

They are bringing up Loperfido but he will be in RF mostly.

Abreu and Singleton are the 1st basemen on this team until big jon is DFA’d

Framber has risen to the moment. We know he can be great. It's been seen. Done. Great stuff. And great movement. Fan frustration comes from wanting him to be great every time the pressure gauge is in the red, but he does not always deliver, and the gasket blows. See Kershaw. People see him as "that guy", but unlike Bruce Willis, as the pressure goes up it doesn't always go the way we want it. Great Expectations.

You know he could be and should be and would be if he pitched the way he pitched the way he did last night all the time. Was planning on watching for 3 to 4 innings and finish the rest this morning but next thing I knew it was 11 pm and Framer came through for us with a complete game win. Great way to kick off the road trip.

Guys. Keep in mind this was the angles. Maldy might be able to go 65 pitches into the 5th against them.

    Stupid post is stupid.

Framber only allowed ONE run in 9 innings.

    Astros need wins.

The starting pitching has had a nice long run of consistency now. Somebody could check but I don’t think they had this sort of run at all last year (or maybe just once towards September).

He does… but the occasional not so stellar start gets amplified to the max and people ignore how consistently good/durable he’s been for his entire Astros career.
