This whole week layoff is so senselessly dumb. It's not like this is a one-game do-or-die match like the Super Bowl you want to create the hyping suspense.
What's worse is that this Finals might suck. Once you get past the top two players on each team, it's a total mismatch.
This is nonsense. Kobe and Gasol were coming off 3 Finals runs and the OKC trio were all the same age as Edwards now. Harden was in year 2.
In the Finals, you typically go with the team with the best player (2017-18 LeBron was an outlier) and Luka is easily the best player in the series + matured Kyrie is an awesome Robin. Mavs are simply clicking on all cylinders right now. They have shooters everywhere and they're playing excellent team defense. Between Lively and Gafford, Dallas has a lot of size inside to make it difficult for Boston to score in the paint. Plus, I just don't trust Tatum and Brown in a big series like this. Boston live and dies by the 3 and they've shown time and time again that when things aren't going their way, they become way too iso heavy offensively and their offense becomes stagnant. And, we don't even know if Porzingis is going to be healthy enough to make an impact. The guy hasn't played in almost 6 weeks. They're definitely not winning if he's not healthy and playing like he's capable. Would love to be wrong on this, but I doubt it. All things considered, think Dallas will be too much for Boston to handle. Mavs in 6.
With the new TV deals, they better condense the damn playoff schedule. The fans don't have to see every single game of the playoffs. Shorten the damn schedule. I can't believe this **** has been going on since mid April.
I have to give credit to Dallas for being a contender. Multiple championship appearances this century, one title. Meanwhile I am still pretending that we are one piece away from winning it all, for decades.

Looking forward to a good game. Not thrilled if Dallas wins Finals but if they can pull it off maybe Ferntits will get jealous & get his shiit together.
