I don't know if he is pro-hamas or not - he very well may be. I'll just point out that someone can be against the IDF invasion into Gaza and not support Hamas. I cannot read Arabic or Aramaic, so I do not know what was or was not said. I will say that there are a lot of people, that would fight against and attack and set up booby traps against an invading force that has destroyed their homes and left rubble - and that does not mean that they support IDF either. The same thing happened in Vietnam. There were a lot of civilians that would attack the French and US forces as they would raid and destroy villages. The convenient assumption held by those in favor of the invasion was that these were all pro-communist forces. In reality some were, but a lot of them were attacking the invading force, which at times was the USA or France. We also saw the same thing in the Iraq invasion and occupation by the USA. There were a lot of Iraqi's that did not support or agree with the Fundamentalists trying to take control of Iraq, but they also did not like having the USA come into their towns, in some cases level them and occupy. So these people were not aligned with anyone other than their survival and the removal of invading forces. The stupid standard position of the USA military at the time was that anyone that would fight to expel US forces or not fully cooperate supported Islamic extremists - and I know from intimate family that is simply not the case. Most of them wanted their home and country back and their families safe and that was it.
