    99 games left 61 and 39 gets us 89 wins……..
Mariners will need to go 53 and 47
It’s going to take a miracle

Took 2 of 3 which is great but dam today was ugly.......Abreau is a black hole, but that's not the only thing that needs to change. There just lifeless and not very motivated. Not giving up, but I dont think its our year and that's OK if we can right the ship, get payers healthy and get a new skipper...................and then jettison Bags, Jackson and Biggio from their advisory roles

It doesn't take a miracle, we were 6.5 out at the end of June last season. The deficit is still plenty manageable if we were a good team, which is the real issue.

The team hasn't been able to play consistently good baseball, a terrible start and an extended run of mediocrity since.

2005 was a miracle. We just need to follow the footsteps of the 2021 Braves... too soon?

Two steps forward, one step backward. Five hits for both teams. SL squeezed out more runs. This team is semi-sleep walking through the season. Can't seem to put a string of good games together. I still say, changes need to be made from top down.

At least the starting pitching (or in this series, pitching as a whole) has been somewhat stable.

They had all sorts of excuses to have a feeble lineup today... still doesn't excuse the good hitters from having a pretty nonchalant "swing at every strike you see" type day.

Presuming no other starters go down (and they work in Garcia), they're going to probably need to get another bat and just have Dubon be an everyday player (which he basically is now with the Tucker/Bregman/1B awfulness).

Abreu on retirement... and Singleton realizing that he got paid regardless of results...

With Abreu 4-23 since he came back, he should be played the next 5 games. If that sample of ~50 pa doesn’t result in both a k rate <20% AND and avg EV >90 mph, he should be released. That’s enough of a sample to show his time in Florida didn’t fix him.

...but he more than doubled his OPS since his return.

2021 Braves just beat us plain and simple. The 2019 Nats on the other hand....

With everything as it currently is, I’d love to try this line up at least once.

    Altuve
    Pena
    Bregman
    Alvarez (DH)
    Diaz (1B)
    Meyers (CF)
    Joey (LF)
    Cabbage/Whatever) (RF)
    Caratini (C)

2019 Nats flat out beat us too. They had the best record in baseball the 2nd half of that season.

Julks is batting .321 with a .918 OPS in 53 ABs.

    Good for him.

    2019
    2021
    2023

1-10 in home games during those final series.

Otherwise that's 3 more World Series titles.

.350 xwOBA too, so it doesn’t look overly lucky. White Sox might’ve robbed the Astros.

Maybe, I got to see more but WTH do you fit him in on this team? I suppose looking back if we knew Chas would be this bad maybe he takes his spot but log jam in the OF

He's always been streaky. Problem is the entire team is streaky. We are missing that Brantley-esque presence that can be consistent day in and day out.
