STAR WARS: THE ACOLYTE Episode Count And Possible Multi-Season Plans Have Been Revealed Some exciting new details about Star Wars: The Acolyte have been revealed, including how many episodes we can expect and the fact this Disney+ series will likely play out across multiple seasons... News JoshWilding | 3/19/2023 Filed Under: "Star Wars"Source: StarWarsNews.net Cameras are still rolling on Star Wars: The Acolyte, the upcoming Disney+ series that will explore The High Republic era in live-action for the first time. Set roughly 100 years before the events of The Phantom Menace, there's a lot of intrigue surrounding the series, and a listing on intimacy coordinator Adelaide Waldrop online CV may have revealed how many episodes we can expect. As noted by StarWarsNews.net, it sounds like we should gear up for a total of 8 episodes when the show launches next year. That lines up with The Mandalorian and that's obviously a couple of instalments more than Obi-Wan Kenobi (but four less than Andor). They're also all listed as 60-minute episodes, but we're not putting too much stock into that for the time being. In related news, there are rumblings online - courtesy of a lawsuit producer Karyn McCarthy filed against Lucasfilm after being ousted from The Acolyte - that the series will be getting multiple seasons. Unfortunately, we don't know how many it could eventually consist of, but this suggests there are ambitious plans in place for the prequel to the prequels. In recent years, Disney has invested a lot into The High Republic era in publishing, and this series will mark the first time we get to explore that in live-action. With Star Wars Celebration just weeks away, we anticipate learning more about the show then. Star Wars: The Acolyte has been described as, "a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated." The cast of the series includes Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Carrie-Ann Moss, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Charlie Barnett, and Dean-Charles Chapman. The Acolyte will stream exclusively on Disney+, though a premiere date has yet to be revealed.
Will it be more Andor/Mandalorian, or more towards Kenobi (or God forbid, Boba Fett)? That's what I need to know from a live action SW series.
Hope Dafne Keene has a big part, because I guess we'll never get to see her as Wolverine's daughter again.
I think Disney is giving all of their franchises the platinum treatment now after evil Bob put the golden Marvel goose on life support.
I opened this thread an hour ago, watched the trailer and assumed this should would be complete trash. Google indicated the first episode was just released, so I watched it. It was a little corny, but tolerable, and I'll probably check out Episode 2 soon.
is this out yet? the jedis look vanilla here. seems like another of those where i'll be rooting for the sith again
Watched the first two last night when they hit, it was ok so far but I was expecting more from all the positive press I've read expecting something along the lines of Andor, I'll stick with it and see how it plays out....
