He’s still a top 15 all time guy. Most titles have some injury asterisk, hell look at this year. Dallas doesn’t make the finals if jamal murray isn’t injured against the lakers, 21 bucks were about to get swept and won because of injury, it goes on and on and on.

I’m going to say we offload Brooks and #3 to Memphis and send #9 to Brooklyn along with other picks and players?

I would say the other players would be coming from Memphis. They will need to send out some salary. But you’re right, much more than that is getting pretty steep.

Neither is Dillon Brooks. If that’s the swap we’re making, I can live with it. I believe Bridges would be much more coveted around the league than Brooks.

So this is how I feel as well, but one thing to consider:

if this is about Brooklyn rebuilding and we’re only giving up #3 and modest assets (not future Brooklyn picks), then getting Bridges becomes much more attractive to me. Losing Bridges further increases the likelihood that the Nets’ future picks are more valuable.

so while I’m not interested in giving up future picks for Bridges, I do think that any deal which makes the Nets worse while retaining our picks makes a ton of sense for Houston. Im gonna wait for the full details before getting too worried.

This is all bad for the Rockets. Just keep the pick.

This more along the lines of what I’m thinking. I’d probably be upset if the cost goes much higher than that.

People here are saying the Rockets shouldn't offer more than just the 3rd pick, but from the Nets perspective there's no point in trading Bridges if they aren't getting back most if not all of their future assets given in the Harden trade. They may put in some Phoenix picks/swaps as compensation but they are almost certainly getting back at least next year's swap and 2026 1st. So if this trade ends up happening it's going to be worse than you think.
