Sheppard doesn’t have question marks in athleticism, he’s a good to great athlete by NBA standards.
He’s the average size for an NBA point guard. You know, his position

He’s 6’1.75 which is 6’3 in shoes, same size as Steph or Kyrie. Old measurements were always in shoes.

The size thing is really just for the observers, some small players play bigger than their size....

and some bigger players play scared like mice......so it really just depends on the motor and the drive mostly and the opponent.

On paper you want to be at least average merely to look the parts and normal.

I think some people are just being contrarian for the sake of being contrarian given that I've yet to see any good arguments to pass on Sheppard.

I wonder if there was Spurs fans suggesting passing on Wemby last year.

Kyrie looks almost as tall as Ant and had been able to guard SGs like James Harden 1 on 1. I doubt he is 6'1.75 like Reed Sheppard.

This should be easy to figure out. Jalen Green is clearly taller than Ant, and he's 6'3 apparently, so Ant is like 6'2, Kyrie 6'1.5, FVV 5'6. I expect Sheppard to be almost the same height as Jalen, the very reliable CF height measurers told me so.

This is kinda dumb thinking tbh. The reason you have high def numbers and low offensive nos is because the players on the court are like that. Adding a shooter who isnt a good defender will increase the % but decrease the defense. You can only have 5 players on the court.

He has good vertical but is mediocre in his draft class on agility and footspeed. Great athlete is stretching it. Is Sheppard playing above the rim in NCAA and exploding off one foot to dunk in traffic? Look at Cam Whitmore or Amen those are great athletes. Looking st your post on Sheppard he is like Steph Curry mixed with Zion lmao. Cant wait to see Shep in NBA so we can look back at all your insane posts.

You are right he is average height for a pg, which is why I dont think average is good use for a top 3 pick. We already have Amen as the plus size pg, having an undersized sg just sets us back.

Luckily, this shooter is also a good defender.

    9. Average size is not good enough for a #3 pick.

Kyrie measured exactly 6’1.75 without shoes at the pre draft combine lol

Kyrie: 6’1.75 tall, 6’4 wingspan, 8’3 standing reach, 191 lbs

Reed: 6’1.75 tall, 6’3.25 wingspan, 7’9.5 standing reach, 181 lbs

Reed admitted to purposely not extending his arms in the standing reach measurement to bump his vert so we don’t what that measurement really is, but probably not much above 8ft. Kyrie has some standing reach and 10 pounds of muscle on Reed. Almost identical measurements otherwise

Nowhere was he mediocre. Youre flat out lying man, that’s why no one can have an honest conversation with you.
He was above average for all combine guards in every athletic test, and well above average in this class in all tests

40 page thread and 20 of it is @roslolian repeating the same things. We get it, height is very important to you while being good at basketball is secondary. We don’t have to keep going in circles.

Curry was too short to be a top 3 pick, but Hasheem Thabeet was super tall so clearly he was the better player.

I think having a starting SG who can't shoot proficiently sets us back more than a shorter SG who can actually make shots at a highly proficient level.

LOL. Who gives a damn if the kid can shoot. Short people don't belong in the NBA. Give me a lanky hit and miss guy any day.

Did not know that (if true). If so, he moves up in my book. Just explain this:
26 minutes 0 rebounds 4 assists 3 points against Oakland.

No way Curry, Klay, or any other college star busts like that in the most important game of the season. That’s a huge red flag. Need more than “it was an off day” for those putrid numbers. Reminds me of a shorter version of Ryan Anderson in the big games. Again, if we take him at 3 we get a top 3 point shooter so it will be fun. Saw where he was #5 in plus/minus and #1 for Freshmen so at least he has high basketball iq which is refreshing after watching years of Jalen Green.

I feel like Sheppard would take a lot less **** if he went for a buzz cut instead of the frat boy haircut

Dude looks like he could pull it off
