This is misleading - but I am not shocked.

This woman wasn't arrested or jailed for praying.

She was arrested for violating the FACE ACT.

She and others attempted to block entrance into a reproductive health clinic.

The forcefully pushed past security at the clinic (necessary because women's reproductive health clinics have been bombed), then she and her co-conspirators blocked entrance into the clinic where women receive low-cost reproductive health treatment.

A jury of her peers found her and her co-conspirators guilty.

She deserves whatever jail sentence she gets. She has no right to scare or try to prevent women from seeking healthcare treatment, and she knows damn well that clinics have been bombed, there have been murders and other acts of violence - her entire purpose was to intimidate and harm.

 

Well yeah, he is a racist or at least was a racist. Granted that 30 years ago it was a lot more acceptable to say, but it doesn't change the fact he let his name and image be associated with absurd racism, conspiracy theories based on racism and pandered for money constantly.

He is a fringe politician luckily - but he is entitled to his opinions, even if they are hateful or at the minimum ignorant and harmful.

The OG OT even offers up an abortion potion recipe, albeit highly questionable wrt its efficaciousness. See Numbers 5:11-31.

The OG OT also states that life starts at first breath. See Genesis 2:7.

But wait there is more.

If you cause a pregnant women to miscarry, the punishment is a fine to be paid to the father. See Exod 21:22. If you cause the death of the wife, the punishment is "life for life". See Exod 21:23.
