pretty much this. jalen after that streak played like absolute dogshit again in games that actually mattered for us...in one of the games his effort was so bad that Ime called his ass out. that streak ultimately was NOT a sign of Jalen turning the corner, yet again. Jalen didn't finish the season strong.. he whimpered out again only so that we can continue to question whether he even gives a crap about basketball.
Assuming Eason is coming back...Brooks serves no purpose anymore. Some team should want him for a picks and/or cash swap, I'd think. ...and this is bad, why?
I think it's not possible to include a player with a non guaranteed contract like Landale in a trade. Jeff Green is either on a team or player option.Tate is on a team option. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I might be wrong, but I think as long as the option is not declined, the player can be traded (and the new team gets the contract "as is" and can then decide to exercise or decline the team option). But I'm not an expert like @aelliott or @NIKEstrad or @BimaThug or @heypartner.
Of all places, HoopsHype paints a good picture here -- https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2023/05...-trade-rules-for-non-guaranteed-salaries.html In short, he can be traded, but for salary matching purposes, only the guaranteed portion applies (they fixed a loophole where the teams could take advantage of waiving a NGT before the guarantee date). He's got $8M guaranteed on 6/29, so there could be something going around draft day. Or, keep him around as a trade deadline piece where a team could treat him as expiring salary.
It’s not bad. I was responding to being untradeable (even more so than Amen) in ATW’s post. No bench player is untradeable.
FWIW, I think @Clutch also recently said somewhere that he considers Tari one of the most untradable Rockets players. It was here: Pretty sure he said it somewhere else also.
Oh well. That certainly makes my argument mute. By the way, Clutch wants to trade Sengun. I like Tari and don’t think they should trade him, but if the right deal comes along for a perennial all-star candidate, then Yes, you trade him. This is how I believe our core 6 plays out listing least tradeable to most tradeable. Sengun, Amen, Jabari, Jalen, Tari, Cam.
Depends on the team, on most teams he would deem tradeable, if the team can easily snag a premium glue guy...... The Rockets deem themselves not able to get one per trade. So you are not totally wrong, on the Rockets he is treated as a near untradeable.
If it brings back a center sure, I don't think banking on perfect health is a great plan. I want 3 capable centers, depth. Who exactly are we bringing in for them anyway? Agreed. I’ve been cutting against the grain to support Houston Rockets on clutch fans but the contract will force a decision sooner or later. It really is up to him to deliver the goods on a consistent basis. I’m sure at some point we’ll have to crack a few eggs to make the omelette… it would be such a cool story to build something with these 7 picks. Not everyone is going to get a max deal.
I'm serious. Where and/or when did Clutch say he wanted to trade Sengun? The assertion made was "Clutch wants to trade Sengun." Simply looking for that statement.
I'll just link to one of your own posts which is quoting one of mine. https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/identifying-the-rockets-core.315077/page-49#post-14962949
