the amount of times astros came up short with the bases loaded is just game killer. too many lost opportunities.

 

Not excusing Presslys blown saves and poor performances but the front office did a majorly poor job at finessing him off the closer role and replacing him with Hader. I can imagine Bagwell saying “it’s alright, this is baseball, he’ll get over it”. Press 100% knew that signing meant their was no way Astros were going to keep him around after this season so he’s not going to be focused at being his best. His pride and ego definitely took a big hit.

 

First week of the season I said this is not a .500 team and should look at trading players when they had the chance. Now McCormick has lost his lusted, Breman couldn't fetch a bag of doritos and Pressly is dead in the water.
