Will point out that the Republican Congress had multiple investigations of Biden and could not even meet the non legal bar of impeachment. A Republican special counsel who while criticizing Biden for his memory did state that Biden was cooperative regarding the secured documents and was substantively different than the situation with Trump. Biden says dumb stuff and makes a lot of gaffes. None of his members of Administration have said he is unfit for office and a threat to the Constitution like Trump's former Secretaries of Defense, Chief of Staff, and even White House Counsels have said of Trump. Yes both are old and creepy.
But to add, the investigation has not been called off or completed. The committees .gov page has some interesting items, I assume it is bipartisan agreed posting, but I'm not sure how to confirm? And am not sure of the legality of the transactions...but do make you go hmmm? The congressional hearings are a joke, they are NEVER bipartisan, one side or the other is attacking/coddling the witnesses...and nothing gets accomplished...BOTH They spend more time attacking each other than doing our bidding.
True the majority party controls Congressional hearings. This is especially true in the House. That’s why it’s important to note that it was the Republican House impeachment committee that couldn’t find enough evidence to support impeachment of Joe Biden.
I know, which is why the committee's page is so curious...have you seen it? I know Republicans have a majority house currently, not sure about the sub committees, I would assume so? Do you know if they have to agree to the facts of what is posted on the .gov website?
I don’t know for sure but my understanding is that it is House staff that maintain the website and content posted on it is what is agreed upon by the relevant committee. They probably don’t vote on everything but there are procedural votes on what to be included in the official records. There are also staff lawyers who vet the material to exclude things that are sensitive and or legally questionable.
