Biden should say very little about this and not address it directly. Leave it to surrogates. This is where if Biden is smart he emphasizes the difference by letting Trump rage while he focuses on other issues.
Liberals always take it too far -- and this is their latest shocking and disgraceful progression. Fortunately Americans see through their weaponization of the legal system to attack a political opponent in a 95% blue district. What liberals are doing is WRONG and very bad for the country. But for them to dishonestly pretend that this is "justice" just means that they think the people listening to their lies are really dumb and naive. Good news: They are not. See below. The best payback for the liberals trashing the integrity of our legal system would be a landslide Trump win. And now people are more motivated than ever to achieve it.
I agree but the words convicted felon still can come out of his mouth and should in appropriate ways. This is a contrast election. In simple, it’s Joe Biden …. “fighting for the everyday American, and Donald Trump, billionaire convicted felon who is only fighting for himself and other billionaires trying to rob the American people blind and destroy the rule of law. Just look at our the difference in our policies Anderson…” something like that. Then phrase convicted felon has to be repeated over and over and over to brand it the same way Republicans would. The conviction will matter in the election if you make it matter. Brand Trump like everyone else would be branded. Make those on the fence feel shame for even thinking about voting for a criminal. You can do that without getting into the details of the case and giving fodder to the pundits who want this to be a horse race so they can’t wait to bring Joe Biden down to Trumps level.
Sure as clockwork Tom Cotton is giving an interview calling it a shame trial and claiming that Trump wasn’t allowed to present all of his evidence.
rittenhouse acquitted - must respect the rule of law and the court's decision zimmerman acquitted - must respect the rule of law and the court's decision trump found guilty - rigged court, biased judge it's all political!!!
Let the lies begin..........is anyone dumb enough to believe once again trump was not allowed to present all of his evidence, he had a chance to defend himself and didn't, after saying he would and then there was the bogus, "I can't testify because I have a gag order"..........At this point I am not sure what the % of undecided voters are but it has to be a single digit, I mean if you're really on the fence you haven't paid attention over the past decade. This will not hurt trump one bit with his base, can it move the needle a few points, maybe but teflon don seems to get momentum after these incidents, the one good thing is there are 5 months to go and things will even out. One thing I have noticed is when **** like this happens the maga base gets fired up and his surrogates are out telling the usual lies and then it calms down until the next big thing and I dont think another trial will happen before Nov. Convicted felon, sexual predator and con man could be the next President and thats a scary thought
Angry boomers now even angrier! Rawr! Do you know anyone under 50 who answers strange phone calls? Millennials and Gen Z barely even talk on the phone. Polls are wildly inaccurate now and don’t reflect a true sample of American opinion.
The usual politician with shameless lies. Trump's defense just needed one juror to have reasonable doubt for a hung jury or an acquittal. The problem for Trump is that Trumpism can work in the political sphere, but legal Trumpism (denying Trump ever had an affair with Daniels probably backfired by weakening their credibility, and they didn't even attempt to explain why Trump falsified records but simply chose to lie that there were no issues with the payments) doesn't work in the courtroom. Anyone who closely followed the trial (too bad it wasn't on live TV) saw that they had no effective defense, and the evidence was overwhelmingly solid (no, it's not just based on testimony; there are also paper trails). Still, given Trump's record and luck, I thought one juror having reasonable doubt could still happen, leading to a hung jury. He had a fair trial and was convicted by his peers. The justice system worked, even if he had been acquitted.
To show how strong a case was brought (and how guilty trump was), the one juror who said they only got their news from trump's "truth" social joined the rest of the jury to quickly convict trump on all 34 felonies.
Trump holds a modestly-attended rally in the Bronx: look at how much New York loves him! He's going to win there, too! Trump is convicted in the same city: he could never get a fair trial there!
Sorry, but I'm skeptical of this. I'm surprised the prosecution would seat a juror who only gets their news from Truth Social.
The defense did what they could with a client who is a pathological liar. Trump would've had a much stronger defense if he'd said "Yes, I had sex with Stormy Daniels, but that doesn't mean I committed a crime." Instead, by continuing to deny that he had sex with Daniels, he opened the door for her to testify and gave his defense team little to work with. It's akin to Robert Durst's defense in his Galveston murder trial. He was acquitted because he admitted to a heinous thing - dismembering a body and throwing it in the bay - but said that had no bearing on the actual crime he was charged with. Trump's ego refuses to ever take a hit so he could not admit to having sex with Daniels.
Because you want an unbiased jury. Yiu can convict anyone of any crime if you line up all their enemies.
