Psalms 37:13 the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he sees that his day is coming. Their day is coming. Sooner or later they will pass on and then they will face their inevitable reckoning. They're going to get what's coming to them and learn what is real suffering. Some of you may be there too while the rest of us enjoy paradise. Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.[a] 3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,[c] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely[d] goodness and mercy[e] shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell[f] in the house of the Lord forever.[g] Proverbs 24 Fret not yourself because of evildoers, and be not envious of the wicked, for the evil man has no future; the lamp of the wicked will be put out. Proverbs 10:24 What the wicked dreads will come upon him, but the desire of the righteous will be granted. Psalm 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray from birth, speaking lies.
"There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses." Oooooh read me a bedtime story. Can I hear the one about Lot ****ing and knocking up his daughters?
The Washington Establishment undoubtedly hope that God isn't real because they gotta know that their fate is going to be horrific. Proverbs 28:6 esv Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways. Proverbs 22:16 Whoever oppresses the poor to increase his own wealth, or gives to the rich, will only come to poverty. God wasn't talking about poverty in this lifetime. Obviously, many evil people have died very rich after living long lives. Their "poverty" comes after they get tossed into the incinerator for cleansing. Luke 16:19-31 There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. 20 And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, 21 who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man's table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's side.[a] The rich man also died and was buried, 23 and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. 24 And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.’ 27 And he said, ‘Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father's house— 28 for I have five brothers—so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.’ 29 But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 He said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’” The day of the wicked and God's revenge upon them is coming. Tick Tock.
Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. Yay! But anything in the seas or the rivers that does not have fins and scales, of the swarming creatures in the waters and of the living creatures that are in the waters, is detestable to you. Booo!
The “wicked” in all these descriptions sounds awfully like the person who was just found guilty on 34 counts in an NYC courtroom.
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.” Matthew 23:13-15 @K9Texan
I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me. I was in prison and you came to visit me. What? When did we do these things for you? Whatever you did for the least of these. For the weak and vulnerable. You did for me.
