Whose idea was it to bring Abreu back BEFORE he started hitting?

    Abreu's . . . he must have agreed to a timeframe before he went down there . . .

The player determines when he’s going to come back? Ridiculous.

When he is a tenured veteran with a guaranteed contract who can not be sent down without his express agreement, thats how it works.

    Ridiculous or not.

He was only in the minors because he gave permission, you can't demote a veteran.

Maybe the Astros didn't have to start him, but if they had an agreement that he would get a chance when he came back if he went down they can't reneg on that.

Sure they could, they could bring him up and sit him on the bench. In fact if he doesn't pick it up Brown said that's exactly what is going to happen. Gotta move Chas to open up a spot for Loperfido and Leon. What I really hope Brown does is trade for Vlad. Wonder what a trade for Vlad might look like?

How would that open up a spot Lopes or Leon?

Moving Chas would open up LF.

    I meant trading for Vlad...

Scratch that... for some reason, thought he played the same position as his dad

Maybe in the world you live in people can just ignore any kind of verbal or handshake agreement, in the professional world it gets around that your word means nothing and ruins a valuable negotiating tool.

If he agreed to go down on the condition that he gets a chance when he thinks he's ready they give him that, at least for a little while. They should have just cut him and be done with it, but they didn't. They agreed to the dog and pony show of him "getting his swing together", so now they have to follow through.

Honestly have no patience for Abreu... if he was a young player, then okay but he's not. Let's move the fck on already, the experiment failed.

Nice. Sounds like we need to break out the rosary beads in that case!
