Zero chance unless he does something really out there like kill Judge Merchan.

Even then he still might not and many of his supporters will still support him.

Almost none. Even if he serves a tiny amount of time (doubtful), he'll just turn that into more persecution narrative and fundraise from jail. Does not affect his candidacy one iota. But he is a convicted felon (until and if it gets overturned on appeal -- I'm not sure how often unanimous verdicts on all counts get fully over-turned, but we'll see).

If the GOP had enough people left with spines, this would serve as a good opportunity to pivot, but even if a few of them have spines, he's basically their ride-or-die POTUS candidate now, and none of them want to just concede the election to Biden, even if they dislike Trump, see him as bad for brand, etc.

I have a question about sentencing. I have seen when lack of remorse or genuine contrition are used to help judges severity or leniency in sentencing.

Trump has been far from remorseful. Trump's continued violation of the gag order also play to that. Will any of that be considered in sentencing in this case?

I don't care what his sentence is. Make it a $1 fine. I just wanted the official recognition that he is guilty.

Now, for Jan 6, that probably needs to come with prison time.

Sentencing? I read that it is from probation up to 4 years per felony. Attacking the judge's daughter is not going to help.

I was thinking that this won’t move the polls much but the more I think about it might. Not because a lot of people accept the prosecution and verdict but because it drives Trump, his surrogates and other supporters to more outlandish rhetoric.

Trump has already promised grievance and retribution. His conviction just makes him more consumed by it to the point that it’s all he ever talks about. The more people start paying attention to the race it starts reminding people how much of a shyteshow this campaign is.

Ordinarily, yes. In this case, who knows?

The "election" is in the bag for Biden and always has been. Don't worry about the election. Biden is a LOCK.

His daughter has been paid MILLIONS by Democratic elites in order to pay for her father's cooperation. Of course, maybe Merchan was blackmailed on Epstein Island to serve the Washington Establishment like so many others.

Let's just cut to the chase and eliminate all elections, Congress, and the SCOTUS and name Barack Obama "Supreme Leader" for life? And then let's outlaw all public speech that casts the Supreme Leader in anything less than a glorious light? How about it?

Please show evidence of the agreement that money to the daughter would influence his decision making?

Which decision did the judge make which changed the evidence and verdict?

I think this might be the first time in this thread he has been compared to hitler. I think most of us compare him to Al Capone. In fact, I think trump himself has brought up Capone.
