Assuming Sarr and Risacher are gone. My order of preference currently is:
    1. Sheppard
    2. Topic
    3. Clingan
    4. Buzelis
    5. Dillingham

Really think people should take a look at the Topic game log. Not all European leagues / stats are the same.

Topic essentially did not play Euroleague. He's being drafted off a 13 game sample with Mega where he played ~3 games against a good competitive ABA teams, the rest against really low level squads with very limited talent or experience. He never played against the best team in the division because they are his home club. It was 1 game against Partizan, and a couple against Eurocup-level squads. That's it.

Risacher for example is playing competition one and sometimes two tiers higher.

Topic has qualities certainly. Played really well in the European U18s. He's young for this draft, a very good PnR passer, and has a uniquely good touch on layups. We all know about the bad 3pt shooting. FT% in the 80's which is usually a good indicator, but I wouldn't overstate it - the janky 3pt shot form and general clumsiness taking any shot off the dribble are not good indicators. Not a good bet to ever be a significant pull up shooting threat.

For sure a top 7 prospect in this draft for me, and would be high on my board if I'm a team like Washington or Utah.

I'd take Iko with a huge grain of salt however. IMO it's improbable in the extreme the Rockets draft a player who will be unable to ever effectively combine with Sengun or Amen without longshot development.

There are more yugo players in the league than from anywhere other than the USA.

Murray, Kobe and McGrady played a lot more games than Green before turning 22.

Hard to say when they are so young. Nowitzki only played 2nd division in Germany, but destroyed the US team in (I think) the McDonald's All-American game or whatever it's called, something like 33pts, 14 rebs, out of nowhere, at age 17 or 18 or so.

Have we seen glimpses of high statistical output from Topic? (genuinely asking, haven't done any research)

Jalen with most minutes per game and most attempts per game

So enough with the excuses that the coaches held him back or he didn't have enough playing time or enough touches that he cannot get into rhythm

The rockets provided him with as much as many starts minutes, touches, green light to shoot, and rhythm

But after three years his shooting efficiency never really improved even got worse

And enough with blaming teammates because he is actually at the bottom in terms of shooting efficiency among his teammates

And as far as blaming that there are were never vets to guide him,

10 Busts, 3 stars, and Josh Smith.

    That's tough.

They played a lot more games?

    91 vs 93 and 94?

So this is relevant but not him in other records like most 30 pt games with 70ts% or over?

Why not sort this list you just generated by ppg? WOuldn't then it show a correlation that the highest volume ones were the ones that weren't busts?

If you rank it by ppg
    Jalen
    Mcgrady
    Kobe
    Murray
    Josh Smith

So it seems like all the busts are the ones scoring 5 ppg on low efficiency.

If I don't get Sheppard or Topic, I'd take Dillingham over Clingan and Buzelis. Clingan's type is not hard to get. Buzelis has too much of the Jalen Green vibe that really scares me.

I'm not even considering anyone outside of Sarr, Risacher, and Sheppard. Rockets should come out of the draft with one of these three players.

Those are the number of games that falls under the criteria. Actual number of games played by each player before turning 22:

    Kobe: 266
    TMac: 269
    Green: 193
    Murray: 215

I don't think Jalen is a dumpster fire of a terrible player. But I also don't think that he is a sure fire star. Both Jalen haters and Jalen fans act like the other side is of the argument is out of question, in my opinion, both of those stands are flawed. I don't think it is super likely that Jalen will be a perennial all star, but it may happen. I'm still not confident in my opinion.

LOL you're idol is the same low efficiency player as those busts

difference is Rockets gave him all the chance, minutes, and attempts

and after 3 years still haven't improved his efficiency even got worse

Every year there is a new crop of high usage draft picks. That's the nature of the lottery. **** teams get the highest prospects.

I don't. And I don't claim that other people do as you imply. No need to get defensive. It is really tiring to have a discussion with you.

I think it's fair to say that Jalen's performances are much more volatile than what you usually see in players. A lot of variance between high-scoring games where the shots go in and just flat out awful games where he shoots his team out of contention and contributes little else. At some point, he needs to become more consistent, or he will no longer be given the opportunity to just keep shooting.

Personally, I prefer someone who is less flashy but where you know you are getting someone who is efficient and always makes the right play. Lower peaks, but higher floor, and higher efficiency.

Basically, what I expect out of Reed Sheppard.

How much PPG would Kobe and TMac have in their earlier years if they were allowed to chuck like Green instead of playing winning basketball?
