I highly doubt he sees the inside of a cell, probably a fine or something. There are two tiers of justice, one for us average folks and one for trump. At least he is convicted by a group of his peers, I know he feels his peers can only be maga but it is what it is, all counts were correct. Just like the election or every case he has lost, maga starts talking about why he will lose before he does so its no shock when it actually happens............the sheep will flock to him and will give him more money LOL.................I wish the Ga case would be able to start before Nov but I dont see that happening so this is a slap on the wrist compared to what he could face in the other cases

The verdict of guilt is not the same as a non-verdict of guilt (by a segment of the population). One has been determined through the legal system, while the other is mostly influenced by politics in the public sphere.

Anyone who lowers the legal definition of guilt to that of the public sphere definition shows a huge disregard for the rule of law. This is not where you want to be unless you support a nation that disregard laws.

Even without Trump running for President I don't think this crime merits jail time. This is his first conviction and the crime is nonviolent with a relative small amount of money involved.

While I agree with the prosecution this is one that I think probation and fine are probably the fitting punishment.

Besides that there are major practical issues with jailing a former president and presidential candidate. I think even if he was found guilty on the classified documents case which I think is the most serious charge, I don't think he will see actual jail time.

It wasn't a question but he can respond or not. He still did take enough time to make a response that was a non-response.

Community service and jail on weekends.

Coming from a working class upbringing I can attest I know many people who have committed much more minor crimes and still went prison. My cousin right now is in prison on a 3 year sentence because of a DUI.

Trump should be treated like an ordinary citizen.

Actually... the only reason he became president is because more people hated Clinton...

The only reason Biden became president is because more people Hated Trump...

This will only make him more popular with MAGA.

There's nothing he can do to damage himself in their eyes as long as he viewed as christ fighting "wokeness", that's literally all they care about.

I would agree that this case does not merit jail time, and if you put a gun to my head I really don't want to see any President go to jail...........I could see house arrest for the documents case but alas, this will be the only case that is heard before Nov. I am not sure this moves the needle for the election....maybe a point or two but who knows. I am happy that the rule of law won, even if he had beaten this, I would be mad but I would understand and respect the decision. Those 12 jurors did a very admirable job, I sure hope they dont leak the names, that would spell doom

    Here’s the thing though…

Your opinion based on fantastical right wing propaganda and conspiracy theory isn’t as important to the world in defining fact, and legacy as a conviction by a jury in the court of law.

Bill Barr and Donald Trump had all the time in the world to get a special counsel to indict Democrats so you guys could have a proper whataboutism but all they were able to get is a Hunter Biden indictment for paying his taxes late. Hunter Biden who isn’t even an elected official and has been open and repentive of his sins.

So you can have you conspiracy theory based opinions but the reality though is it’s just YOUR fantasy.

You should read what Florida Law says about this. If NY law says he can vote, he can vote in Florida IIRC.
