With a couple of big moves and a new manager they could be Add Vlad, play Loperfido and trade for a Lorenzen type pitcher. Also move Bregs down in the lineup.

Sad to see them fall into this. As crazy as it sounds, this is still fixable. Vlad Gurrero would be huge.
I have sadly come to the realization that this season is just not going to be a successful one. I will still watch. I will still hope. But I need to take my 2-3 extra hours per day, that I read and chat with other fans, and do other things. I will still be around but likely only a quick read and post each day. Yeah we're done. This was the series that was going to launch us into competition for the division, or bury us. I don't care that there are like 100 games still left. You can't lose all of your head to heads with the division leader and expect them to collapse down the road to open things up for you. On top of that, I have seen nothing that would indicate this team can get white hot and catch up. We are still just as injured and poor at scoring runs and winning close games as we were in April.
@Nook Anything you’re hearing on the pulse of this team? Please tell me the Abreu experiment won’t last longer… He’s not the only problem, this team is clearly pressing.
People talking about trying to add Vlad are wild. For one, the guy is overrated and his big 2021 season was three years ago at this point. Hasn’t been anywhere close to that since. That said, I’m sure Toronto is still going to expect a solid return based on this past performance, his “potential” given his age, and the fact he isn’t a rental. Secondly, I don’t see how anyone wants to add to this team and give up any of the remaining minor league depth we have at this point. We are 6-22 against teams over .500. This team used to be the most dominant in the MLB against said teams.
Astros fell asleep before you did. Anything other than the 4th inning where we scratched across a run was basically unwatchable if you were hoping to see our bats wake up.

Vladdy is still a really good player. It's kind of like expecting Bregman to be 2019 Bregman, he will never be that again. But if we could get him to be 2021 or 2022 Bregman that is a strong player Vladdy is better than even that version of Bregman, he just isn't a top 5-6 overall player in MLB like many expected The crazy thing about all the Astros trade for Vladdy talk is.....The Blue Jays are 2.5 games closer to a playoff spot than we are
