Locations in the city ain't all that. Locations out in the country are better. Any time I have to drive to Corpus, I always stop at the one in Refugio. Burgers are restaurant quality at that location for some reason. That's really the only time I do Whataburger these days - when we're out on the road driving around Texas.
I had one a few weeks ago and it tasted like it was drowned in salt. Their shakes are still quality imo but the burgers are not good.
This is always whats its been around. Sonic is better than Whataburger that's better than Dairy Queen, that's better than I don't ****ing care
lay off the angel dust brah! this comment makes me question everything you have ever posted in clutchfans.
This 100%. I think it's because the country stores are less likely to be staffed fully by teenagers not giving a damn about your burger. Rural areas have older workers, stores are slower, and many of the clients are regulars. A different old school Texas standard I remember last time I went to whataburger I asked for a chophouse cheddar burger and they were like wtf is that
My local Sonic makes a vastly superior double cheeseburger compared to my local Whataburger (Whataburger wins at fast food breakfast though, there's not even a close second place). It's just how it is. The Dairy Queen in Lampassas is also better (never, ever, eat at the DQ in Johnson City, btw). Whataburger is great if you want a patty melt or some tricked out burger.
I had In N Out in Stafford a couple weeks ago... and liked it. Last time I'd had it was about 7 years ago in California. At the time I thought it was just ok but nothing special.
