If all of those protestors showed up armed, then they would have overrun the capitol in mere minutes. Obviously that didn't happen. Almost none were armed, as they went through security to attend Trump's speech. Some Feds dressed as Trump protestors did not attend the speech, instead they went the Capitol to remove fencing and attempt to lure actual Trump supporters into their trap.
