Let's see if Bregs runs to Chandler Rome again. He got cocky off only 3 good games last time.

5 is still too high. At this point Bregs shouldn't be batting any higher than 6th IMO.

    Altuve
    Pena
    Tucker
    Alvarez
    Meyers
    Bregman

And then any comob of Diaz, Abreu, Singleton, Dubon or Chas after that. You could certainly argue that Singleton and certainly Dubon should be batting ahead of Bregman because, no exaggeration, he's been our worst everyday hitter this year not named Jose Abreu.

I mean, if you were to tell me that Pena was our clean up hitter before the season started . . . I would have thought that we'd be pretty terrible this year.

Pena being in a slump has impacted this offense as well.

at some point, you need more than 2 hitters to not be god-awful.

How about he sits on the bench a game or 2?

And they’ve had a much better record.

pitching is still everything and has the best chance to be consistent day-in/day-out.

offense is fleeting… albeit this team has taken fleeting to a new level.

His defense has actually been a plus this year. Far better than whoever would replace him.

Never even came close to saying that.

I said they have TWO hitters right now that the BBS would approve to bat 4th… or 3rd… or 2nd… or 1st…. And one other hitter that can bat 9th and nobody would care (Singleton, Dubon, Caratini)

The rest of them? Need to wake up or get back to their baseball cards:
    Yordan
    Bregman
    Pena
    Diaz
    Chas
    Abreu

Abreu has the keys to the castle. He can demand his total release at any point he isn't on the big league roster. That is the reason he is back up, because that is what he agreed to (how long he was down there).

At this point - it is a situation where the owner or other decision makers do not want to accept that they have to pay him $20,000,000 next year.

I can tell you that they have looked at possible trade situations but he is very hard to move, because they don't want to take on a longer contract.

I am sure telling Crane/Jackson and Cabbell that they wasted their money isn't an easy thing.... Cabbell at least will tell Crane that Abreu is done - not sure about the others. Luckily for Brown, he wasn't a decision make at the time this all happened.

At some point Crane needs to cut bait, and my guess is that if he fails over the next month - he will be gone, especially if he doesn't accept being on the bench.

Makes sense. I get that this is a rare case, but shouldn’t be that hard to comprehend this as it seems to be around here.

And by no means is this a defense of him (I was one of the first ones to say he’s “done” way back when…), but he did account for 50% of the offense last night at a time when everybody else was still figuring out how to get a hit against Cy Miller. Maybe an even higher percentage as the 2nd run probably doesn’t score that inning without his hit.

The offense needs to wake TF up especially when they can no longer use bad pitching as the main excuse.

The question is ... how many runs would the Mariners have if someone else at first could have stopped that ball that was lined past him...

Abreu and Jon over Dubon and Chas

Hopefully we can overcome our manager tonight, but with the pitching match up I would have went with best possible lineup

That ain’t what ole Espa learned though

Embarrass Bregman by moving him to the 8th spot.

    Stop effing around Espada.

Alex Bregman being Jewish ain't helping. That is real awkward in itself.

The Club looked really happy talking to each when Bregman was away from the Team with a Flu. The team played very differently without Bregman, Mauricio Dubon played 3rd, Did well there. Scored Runs, Played loose.

2 weeks ago I know there was talking about Team Meeting discussing Christ. Alex Bregman is Jewish believing in Anti Christ.

Does the belief system change their view on Bregman. Does Bregman feel left out as a Teammate psychologically, he is hitting .200. Is Alex Bregman mentally checked out on the Astros because he is a free agent.

    Just a weird situation.
