I want to remember the Kirsten Dunst from "Virgin Suicides" and nothing else.

I'll probably like this movie based on the dislikes here. Lol.

WTF did I just force myself to watch? I was better off watching a war documentary on journalists. This was soooo bad....

I like Garland and I like documentaries, but now I'm not so enthused at all about this

Maybe you'll let me like the new Mad Max movie

Yes, godammit, yes, it is really good. I said it was "great." @percicles , our resident film expert, gave it 9 out of 10. Quit equivocating on Furiosa and go see it on the biggest screen you possibly can!

This movie felt like an unwanted b*stard child of Walking Dead "humans are POS" episodes and Children of Men.

I think he scrubbed the partisan backstory to avoid getting real life death threats, and made it a fable where Everyone Loses in a Civil War...except the Media, those carrion feeding shitbags.

The bait and switch comes from the idea you'd watch Destruction p*rn like a disaster/alien movie (Emil Emmerich), but instead get beaten over and over again that this subject isn't time for escapism or morbid curiosity, a Red Asphalt moment at the DMV for our dumb political hyperpartisan climate.

I'd rather rewatch Children of Men if I wanted to feel like Humanity is Doomed.

They allied as the WF...the president was trying to rally the nation by withholding the truth.

They didn't explain the lack of tech or internet so I assume a bunch of emps made every one blind.

This is a bit of a boring movie. The cinematography is top notch but the plot is meaningless to a pleb non journalist like myself.

So clearly this movie was about what could happen if someone like Trump got into the Presidency again.

Agree with it being somewhat boring, could have had way more factions....

Finally watched this. It was mid. Acting was fantastic but I wish they would have fleshed out the reasons behind the civil war a little more. There were snippets of reasons and I think it was because the president had too much power (3rd term) but everything was pretty vague.

And although the acting was great I just didn’t connect with these war journalists much. The action was pretty good though.

It’s worth a watch if you have nothing else going on. But it’s a drama, not an action movie.
