I think the stros are 12-7 without Abreu. Can’t mess up this good thing though Joe seems to try every other game
At minimum, Singleton's contribution is simply existing staring at every pitch keeping bat on the shoulder allowed Abreu to get moved out. Commendable effort & nice payoff
Did you know that abreu and montero were identified by click and his team before his departure? Do you really think Jeff bagwell is hammering out contract details?
My problems with Bags are (1) getting away from analytics and (2) I think he's got no business acting as hitting coach jacking up everybody's swings
Totally bad idea to bring Abreu back. He is washed, done. Unless, they found that he had vision problems and fixed them. He really looked horrible and the team perked up when he went to Florida.
Loved him closing out the division championship clincher in 99, but he fell apart in 2000 like several pitchers did during the inaugural Enron season. Lima time ended
I’m not loving it but I know it’s going to happen but they absolutely can not ride or die with 19.5. If he’s washed he’s washed but you can’t throw an entire season away and waste everyone else’s effort over ego…,,
I want clutch Abreu to show up later this year. He had 33 RBI in the last 30 games of last season. I do believe that's pretty good. [13 RBI in 11 postseason games, which I also think is maybe kinda good]
