So three straight games from Denver just abusing Minny. I got through 1.5 quarters of this one and can maybe recall three or so touches Jokic had in the paint posting up.... exactly one game after giving the biggest schooling witnessed since Hakeem and Robinson. Something very, very fishy about Denver's play tonight. After 1.5 quarters I knew they weren't winning... it didn't even look like they wanted to win... very fishy. So I skipped to the end. Not surprised by the score one bit. Very curious three straight games of dominating a team and you just wake up and decide to do something different instead of what's proven to work. Hmmmm.
I told y'all Jokic has one of the weakest supporting casts ever. Minny's D can't stop Jokic but they can stop everybody else. Not sure who would win game 7 both sides have had blowouts.
Can't bet against Jokic in Denver but Jamal is straight trash this series. If he doesn't show up, Minny will win.
you think yokich and coach mike had their hands forced by the league? i know yokich could just be whatevs it's just a job but i would think coach wouldn't play along
Idk man this dude is like Patrick Mahomes of the Nba, can never bet against him. I've actually thought it was gonna be a sweep (after the first 2 games), then he just straight dominated. Now its back to square one.
Yes, but if your side kicks and hench men can only cut and miss all shots you are on your own. I mean basically if both teams shoot around the same percentage, it is a close game. It is a hit and miss league and Joker cannot shoot for them all.ä Denver shot at least 44% from 3 or better in their last 3 games that is why they were dominating and merely 19% from 3 this game.
I want the Wolves to win. Also a good reminder how bad ESPN commentary can be. Jefferson after Naz scored: "There's a few hundred extra Naz Reid tattoos in Minnesota right now and it's all because of that man." No way Richard, I thought it was because of Gobert. And who gets a tattoo of a player outside of maybe the biggest athletes in the world?
A local tattoo artists has been offering “Naz Reid” Tattoos for $20. A lot have taken up that offer. Naz is also one of the most popular Twolves players with several local ads.
The same could’ve been said about how much the Twolves dominated the first two games and then got flat out owned the next three. Both teams make adjustments and have bery streaky shooters.
I was saying during the game that maybe the nuggets have a hard time with the thicker air at lower altitudes.
And slowing down Aaron Gordon, Porter Jr would be good, and hopefully Jamal Murray is feeling his injury. At this point, you are clawing for every banal advantage.
Not really (in my eyes, of course everyone is entitled to their opinion) Games 1 and 2 to me looked like Denver were in a mad scramble every time down the floor and were shocked by Minny's defense and continually hurried up and played out of their comfort zone. Games 3 through 5 Denver went away from Murray who was hampering them, went heavy to Jokic, Jokic played like he is the best player in the world, demanded the ball constantly in the post, was fed the ball in the post, abused any and every defender in the post, the rest of the team were cutting and moving and not running around for 48 minutes like a chicken with its head cut off. The 1.5 quarters I watched of this game was up there - if not outright - the worst basketball I've ever watched from an NBA team, due to the context of the game and what they've done the past 3 games. They were again acting like this was the very first time they'd seen Minny's defense. Jokic barely even feigned interest in getting the ball in the post for those 1.5 quarters I watched. Just seemed extremely bizarre to me, and in my view didn't look to be brought about by any adjustments Minny made. Game 7 sure is (hopefully) going to be a doozy though.
