Yeah but thinking about a lottery pick can be better than thinking about work or the state of the world.

I love the fit of Sheppard as well.

Sarr (via trade up or luck), Sheppard or Filipowski for me.

    just get Reed.

I don't care about athleticism, speed and all that other BS. just get basketball players please. I'm out on Jalen and I love Amen but my god, I'm so sick of drafting the uber athletic players that can't hit a jumpshot.

If he's actually 6'3 then I guess that would be kinda good enough but still on the smaller end for a 2 guard. Luckily our PG of the future Amen is huge so it could work out. He really does look small on the court though. I hope that won't be an issue in the pros. Guys like Davion Mitchell can be lock down defenders in college despite being small but lose that edge in the NBA.

Actually DM was good defensively problem was he can't shoot.

If you want a more successful comparison Cason Wallace was good defensively and also good at the pros. The diff is his shot and scoring translated unlike DM.

We should have the Next Baby Faced (Assassin) not named Curry.

I think he can play the point .... he can facilitate the offense but if you pair him with a ball dominant 2 guard, he can play off the ball too, kinda like Fred and he's only 6'0".

He can defend both spots too .... he might be the best defensive guard in the draft on top of the shooting.

Last years "premier" shooters Gradey Dick and Jordan Hawkins arent exactly lighting the NBA on fire. To expect a poor mans version of them in Sheppard to become Curry because we are so starved and desperate is an interesting development.

Gradey Dick is playing pretty well after his slow start. Almost 50% from 3 and 70% TS% in Feb.

He's finding his place. He's also 6'6 and on another level athletically compared to Sheppard.

I feel like Reed Sheppard is the perfect fit for us. He plays hard on both ends on the floor, not a flashy player but extremely efficient.

He likely won't be a superstar but he should be a solid plug in and play role player for us. If he's still there at 8 that is...

I wish we had our own pick this year because there's a lot of promising international talent I would love to take a flyer at.

Using the third pick on a role player is a waste. We can find role player on the market.

True, but there are no stars at the top. Even Saar has a long way to go.
