Im torn on that. Im not ready to give up on Jabari and that is the player who would be impacted the most by bringing in an overall #1 to play the frontcourt. Im much more inclined to try and jump back into the middle of the 1st round for Kel'el Ware and have him coming off the bench with no guarantees.

I’d prefer Ware honestly. I don’t see it with Sarr. He tested well vertically but not very quick in any of the speed/agility drills.
Makes me wonder if he can play the 4 like a Chet/Wemby/JJJ type

Some people don't deserve to start a thread. Would you rather have a young unproven big or a young proven big who dropped 45 points on Wemby's dome? Oh yeah he also anchored a top 10 defense this season so it's not like he's a defensive liability.

This. This is the answer. Playing next to each other would help each other's weaknesses. Exactly like I thought Jabari would to a better extent than they already are. Taller, more of an interior defender. I like them side by side. Which isn't the question here because that's an obvious Sengun answer. But next to each other? I think we'd be cooking.

Man!! We think EXACTLY the same. I love Ware's game too. I proposed giving up #3 for #17 and Trey Murphy. That's the range I predict Ware is going in.

If Houston did get Sarr, I could see a frontline of Jabari, Sarr and Sengun, which is very enticing

...good idea guys - let's replace one of the best shooters(and the most versatile defender) on one of the worst shooting teams for yet another guy who can't shoot. Your checkers game is strong...wish we weren't playing chess.

Except Chet is a MUCH better defender than Sengun - but otherwise 'head to head'.

I didn’t say I wanted Sarr. Just saying in no way would he replace our BEST player.

Put it this way. If Sengun were in this draft, he would be the consensus and immediate no doubt about it overall first pick at 21 years old. So....

My best case scenario would be to take Sheppard at 3 and then find a way to land Ware later. With Adams in the fold next season I'd probably rank the guard acquisition slightly higher on the priority list.

Goon's their 5 for the next 5 at least.

More than likely will not have a chance on Sarr.

They should go with a solid all around dude that's scrappy, smart and most importantly, a shooter with the 3rd pick. Then move up and get Bona. He could be interchangeable at the 4/5 depending on matchups. Whether with AS, JS or TE.

When was the Rockets rule written that we can only have one tall person?

....my bad - reread it and that was an overly harsh response. Apologies to you and @JusBleezy for the snark.
