LOL, that doesn't really surprise me.

Now certainly, miracles can happen, but the guy is already 23 and essentially the ONLY thing he brings at an NBA level is 3 point shooting, I'm sure he'll be a star.

I like both of the top UConn prospects and I’d feel fine taking either at #3 (even though I want a shooter). I’m not sure I put much stock in the combine shooting drills though. You’ve got Missi shooting the same % as McCain. It would be silly to read too much into that.

Ok so first shuttle run was great now it's below upper tier? Who the flip flopper now? What is even below upper tier??? Isn't that average? Lol.

If RS is upper tier what is Knecht? I'm asking you they can't be the same tier right? 21st vs 2nd? So what is Knecht in shuttle run?

Basically the same lane agility. Equal difference in 3/4 sprint and shuttle both ways. Sheppard is a better leaper.
    It’s a wash athletically.
RS has better defensive and offensive numbers and tape

I posted highlights earlier. He has an entire segment to defensive highlights

What are you talking about? I didn’t say his shuttle was upper tier. I said his 3/4 sprint and lane agility were upper tier.

Castle is definitely a better defensive player than Sheppard....but that's all there is to Castle's game. He's a guy where you aren't drafting a basketball player, you are drafting an athlete and hoping you can teach them basketball one day and we already have Amen to be that guy.

The team has athleticism for days and basically no shooters. The last thing we need is to draft yet another unskilled highly athletic guy.

I think Castle has more switch ability, but as a one on one defender RS was better this year.
That’s not a knock on Castle, he’s elite as a defender. RS was better this season

I don’t want any more non-shooting guards. I’m out on Buzelis, Castle, and Holland.

And deflections, steals, anticipation, playing lanes. He moves his feet extremely well and there aren’t many people he can’t stay in front of.

    This is my main point.
We need shooting. Reed happens to be an elite defender too

I still think I prefer Risacher if we can get him--but it's closer than I thought between him and Sheppard. It's clear I've been underrating Reed's athleticism, it's always something a bit tougher to judge on tape, especially when a guy isn't at an extreme like, say, Amen.

Castle is an interesting dark horse. Not a guy who has been in the top 5 conversation for very long--lots of late helium from March Madness. Shooting is the swing skill with him. I don't think he really fits our needs as well as Sheppard or Risacher. But if the FO really thinks he's the best player available, I'll accept it.
