All of the threads so far have been what SHOULD the Rockets do with the #3 pick, but as we know from the past, that doesn’t always match what the Rockets WILL do with the #3 pick. This thread serves more as a prediction thread than an opinion thread. For instance, I think the Rockets should take either Reed Shepherd or Donovan Clingan or maybe trade back into the late Top 10 for a future 1st round pick. But I think the Rockets are going to take one of these high upside wings at #3. Obviously that is an example between should and will. If you are posting a draft pick or trade, please name who you think they’d be taking, trading for or trading back for
Where's "tell the media that they're open to trading the pick. Ultimately fail to do so and draft at 3. After the draft say that they had deals on the table for 3 but liked the player at 3 more because we actually had him #1 on our board and were surprised he was available at 3?" That's my vote right there.
I think they will trade back for a vet shooter and future draft capital. I’d rather they play the long game and draft at 3.
You're missing the thread that is exactly like yours that @J.R. created 1 day earlier. Trade option is also an option to choose in his thread. Also every option you put in this thread is also being commented on in his thread.
So has anyone noticed that both Kelly Iko (athletic article) and Clutch (podcast) both said they don’t think the Rockets will draft a small guard or center and instead will draft a jumbo hooper, or has that connection not been made yet? This is why this thread is different than the 3rd pick thread (Sheppard propaganda thread). it’s starting to sound like we all need to be mentally preparing to take Zaccharie Risacher, Matas Buzelis, Stephon Castle or Ron Holland if we stay at 3. If those are our 4 options, I want Castle and Risacher next (he’s so boom or bust)
