I’m not even advocating for trading the 3rd pick, but we know there are going to be a ton of proposals using it. Use this thread to post your best ones.

    Rockets get:
    Donovan Mitchell
    GG Jackson

    Cleveland gets:
    Jalen Green
    Dillon Brooks
    #9 pick

    Memphis gets:
    #3 pick

Would a max extension be part of the trade?

Um…not sure that proposed trade is realistic. But how bout trading #3 to Portland for #7 and a future 1st?

But why would Portland do that? They are in full rebuild mode.

Any trade back in picks would require the Rockets having elite level recon on who other teams are targeting. I'm always wary about that dating back to when Portland snipped Brandon Roy from the Rockets, resulting drafting Gay and trading for Battier. Battier was nice, but Brandon Roy on those teams would have had them actually get over the hump the few years both Yao/McGrady were healthy.

The make or break on that would be how Mitchel is in the locker room and how he would take to Ime. If we are giving him that max, Rockets would need him to be a leader for the team and get the young guys to step up.

Honestly, I don't know if Mitchell wants that role. It's basically the same role he had with the Jazz and now has with the Cavs. He seems more comfortable being the 2nd star/ sometimes closer who is not the face of the team. I also think he is getting to a point where he just wants to win.

If he has totally control on where he is traded/signs max with, I think teams like Philly, Knicks, Lakers, or even Sac make a lot more sense.

I like this idea but think we’re giving up too much…don’t know a ton about GG but he’s 19, seems a bit young especially but maybe a nice flyer. Mitchell would be my number 1 target. Not interest in Trae, maybe Bridges…PHX isn’t selling quite yet. Dame at 34 and 50mil is a no-go.

part of me thinks we should just keep our pick…so many variables at play.

Man if we could get one of Bridges, Mitchell, Durant, Booker that would obviously be amazing. For Bridges we could trade the #3 and Nets picks back to them and throw in Jalen and Dillon. Honestly think Cam can be our star SG. #3 and Nets picks and Jalen to Cleveland for Mitchell. The Suns are in a bad place even if their owner denies it lol. They have no role players, no picks and I think Allen is a free agent. We could basically trade them a whole badass role player package with picks along with a Jalen or Jabari for either Booker or Durant. They'd still have Booker and Beal or Durant and Beal plus the talent and picks we could send them. Obviously these are all fantasy dream scenarios, but who knows???

LOL. We're not giving enough. The first round pick of this draft is projected to be GG Jackson. We can't even get D.Mitchell with that package.

agreed my proposal is unlikely. To your point, any trades up and down the board will be target specific. In this draft that’s gonna be uniquely difficult to forecast; especially because we have a GM who injures people’s brains when he talks so it’s hard to build relationships with other GM’s.

Paul George opts out with Player Option

    Forces Sign-n-Trade ( Clippers x Rockets )
    -------------------------------
    Rockets Fred VanVleet / Tate / #3 Pick 2024

    x

    Clippers Paul George
    ------------------------------------

*Jalen Green has been on PG's podcast several times
*Paul George has singled out Sengun as a big talent
*Clippers have to break up team. Either Harden or PG stays. Kawhi & PG are redundant.
*PG would be able to load manage. Start 1st, 3rd & end games.....Cam/Tari get needed playing time.
    *Over 40% 3P%

    Works on Fanspro

No. 3 for No. 5 plus willingness to facilitate other trade by accepting up to $20M and 3 years in bad contracts from a third team.

Please suggest a somewhat younger player than PG bro. A guy who can get us into the playoffs.

No to Bridges, Paul George, Durant....

    Maybe to Mitchell.

    I wouldn't mind having Ingram.

    Hell yeah, to Booker..

Try posting that trade idea on the Cavs board and I'd be curious if there is a single person who wouldn't lol at the idea.

So we trade FVV for a 34 year old Paul George?

I guess if our intention is to make the Clippers better, sure.

It would make the Rockets worse, but I guess that's fine.

This would be an interesting way to do these trade threads lol have to get at least one person on the other team's board to like the trade before we even give it any attention.
