I’m one of those who think we should trade out or trade back, which I have no doubt the rockets will try to do. But as far as Clingan, I’ve watched him closely both seasons and think he’s legit. He really moves well and he is massive. His floor is an excellent defensive center who passes well. That’s his floor. Did I mention he’s massive with great feet and fluidity? He covers so much space; he’s going to be a great pro - not a risky prospect. I get that taking non-spacing centers high in drafts is not usually wise, but he’s a better center prospect than Duren or Mark Williams were and his shooting potential is much better tha either of those guys. In this draft he’s worthy of #3. That said, i think there are some other guys worth considering. I also hate the fit with Sengun (love the fit with Bari).
One player whose value is at its lowest but has a proven track record is Ingram. His postseason performance was disasterous. we can probably entice New Orleans To trade him for maybe Brooks, our number 3 and maybe a sweetener/salary filler
Clingan looking like a poor man's Mehmet Okur there on offense in that twitter video. Honestly he if can do that in the NBA, I'd have to change my view of him. Will need to trust the Rockets scouts and the workouts then.
Clingan, it would seem, already has as much range as Sengun. There will be some great choices to make at #3.
Appreciate it. If we draft him it shouldn’t be about fit. I wonder who we’d need to include with this pick to get some formidable return, 75 cent on the dollar let’s say.
@Medicine N Music im still waiting for your annual rockets must-draft prospect. I guess I’ll rule out Clingan lol
Reed Sheppard shorter than Rob Dillingham. Rockets care about Vertical Jumps, Measure their Height. Rockets care about having Athletes.
