Have you thought that maybe that's where he belongs for a while? That has nothing to do with whether Javier was ready to start today or not.
This team has dug themselves such a hole that simply “winning” series against teams the caliber of The Tigers really simply isn’t enough. They failed the exam during the difficult, early part of their schedule so they need to be acing the exam now. If they can’t do that, then they are what they are, but the talent on this team should be better than one of the bottom (4) records in all of MLB, period. And a -34 run differential with 203 runs allowed?…….well beneath what should be expected from this roster even with the injuries. Only (2) teams in all of MLB have allowed more runs (Miami & Colorado). Runs scored?…. could be better, but they’re at least middle of the pack there so the problem should be clear. It’s pitching, pitching, pitching
I remember Mr Gatti's. My parents liked it but I think that was because the one we went to in Clear Lake City was BYOB. I Prefered Shakey's
No Altuve Bregs cleanup 4 guys with sub 700 OPS and two more barely over 700 I know many of our guys haven't had days off this year But now the only two he does give a day off to are two of the only three that have consistently hit all year Makes perfect sense
JV opened -115 and is now nearly even money, Detroit is now the favorite and the Astros are dogs. Even Vegas knows we suck.
Altuve needed the day off. 3-21 on this road trip with 7 Ks and 1 BB. Batting average has plummeted from .343 to .317, he's in one of his typical pull everything slumps that he goes through 2 or 3 times a year. His last extra base hit was April 30th.
Last 6 batters have an OPS this season less than Meyers today. I expect Meyers will cool down, but he's treated really different on this board than Singleton despite hitting better than Singleton since Abreu was optioned, for the season, past 2 seasons, and for their careers.
