The Jews are a "native population".

    Nobody said Jews weren't native.

Ancient Israel and Judah are no more related to modern day Israel than the Xia dynasty (Ancient China) is to modern day China.

Sam definitely is a crazy liberal but one of the rare times I agree with him

This is ****ing insane. and like we’ve said..it was never about the hostages. You don’t bomb and kill your own fools, starve them if that was the case.

hundreds of thousands of people will die, that’s why our govt and credit to them for the first time halted shipments

The Jews who founded modern Israel were not native to the land. The Jews who lived in the land prior to the nationalist Zionist movement were a minority in both Palestine and among the Jews who formed Israel. The Israelis who live there now, by virtue of their parents and grandparents actions, can and should be considered natives. I’d be a hypocrite if I said otherwise as a person in the US whose ancestors also colonized already settled land 300 years ago.

It’s a religious take that the land belongs to Jews in perpetuity, not one based on actual human history or even ethics. The land belongs to whomever can defend it. And right now that means both the Israelis rather and the Palestinians can make claims.
Palestinian Arabs are native to the land in the sense they have lived on it continuously for at least the last 1500 years, and likely much longer for Gaza. Don’t like it? Blame the Romans.

What's older, the Al Aqsa mosque or what it was built on?

Did "the Jews kill Jesus" in Poland or in what is now Israel?

The ancient Israelis built the first temple. The ancient Babylonians destroyed it. The Ancient Persian Empire let Jews of Babylon rebuild the temple. Then the Romans destroyed it again. The Romans ruled until the Arabs founded Islam and went on their Jihad and conquered the Levant.

None of these empires exist today. Iraq is not Babylon. Iran is not Persian Empire. And Israel is not that Israel.

Who lived there before the Jewish Israelis? Non-Jewish Canaanites. Who lived there before the Canaanites? Can’t say, but history shows that many ancient peoples were exterminated without prejudice by invaders (Sumerians, Indus River Civilization). Who lived there after the Israelis? Non-Jewish Arabs.

    Also blame the British.

History is important but neither Israel nor the Palestinians are going anywhere.

Unironically. If the French “won” the land after WWI instead, there would be no Israel. It would be just greater France like the Maghreb.

And now the Israelis - Jews, Arabs, Christians, Atheists - live there. And they will continue to do so. As much as some Muslims hate it.
